New drink : Green forest @ 貢茶 Gong Cha

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Milk cap Green forest tea:
Tried this drink because it was new, but on the poster it does not really say what it is and when I asked the staff they said it was just tea so that was really helpful.
The original one is just jasmine tea with a layer of buttery milk cream on top, this one was visually green which matches its name green forest, but the tea was the same as the original one and it was jasmine.
As for the cream it was lime green and I couldnt taste any difference in it compared to the original one.

My voice isnt loud but i am not deaf @ Joda's cup

After battling and choking through the polluted streets of Fortress Hill, I finally made it to Joda's cup, located right on the main streets with plenty of buses and cars passing by.

The environment made it extremely difficult for me to order, I had to repeat myself about three times for my order to be heard, I even waited till there was only one or two customers to order.

Ok my voice may not be loud, but I am not deaf, the waitress repeated what I ordered very loudly to emphasize she couldnt hear me.

When they finally called my number, one of the staff realised she had put normal amount of sugar when I requested less sugar and no ice. So I had to wait another few minutes for the right one.

Anyway, I finally got my elegant Jasmine tea, with flower buds floating at the top.
It tasted very strong of Jasmine just like the expensive Jasmine teas.

It differentiates itself from other Taiwanese tea's in HK with the inclusion of flower buds, just like the one in Jordon that contains pieces of fresh fruit which I am going to try.

Instant Jasmine milk tea @ 英記茶莊 Ying Kee Tea House

Previously saw their Jasmine milk tea featured in magazines, however they were sold out when I went to buy them, today they were in stock so got a pack, it was on promotion as buy one get one free, so got 2 packs, each with 2 sachets.

Basically it is jasmine tea with milk, sugar is already mixed in, hence no sugar needs to be added.

It is not actually their house product, but distributed by them, but the sachet has their logo printed on it.

The taste just tastes like the taiwanese milk teas, but hot version.

Shroom Shroom! Portabello mushroom burger @ Freshness Burger

Portabello mushrooms are rare here, so when I saw pictures of it I just had to get it.

As with all burgers at Freshness, all the salad vegetables are too big and chunky, they make up for at least two thirds of the burger.

I think if the onion had been finely diced, it would have tasted much better as a whole, also the tomato was cut too thickly too.

Anyway I removed the tomato, onion, and lettuce and just had the mushroom sandwiched between the burger.

The mushroom was skilfully grilled in that it wasn’t dripping with oil or juices when served.
Although it wasn’t dripping, it was still very juicy at consumption.
The balsamic vinegar and mayonnaise complimented it very well too. The texture of the mushroom was meaty and earthy.

The last time I had a Portobello mushroom was at the burger joint in sheung wan, it was awful, it had been soaked in vinegar.

It is good that they have a vegetarian range too, the tofu burger and mushroom burger both taste nice.
The burger was 90% similar to its product shot, however there was extra mayonnaise, the tofu burger was a bit different to its product shot.

My earlier review on the tofu burger

Quality! noodles @ 渝酸辣粉

Came here randomly, and the food turned out to be great.
Allergic to that sort of chili, so picked the shredded chicken with noodles and an ordinary beef one.
For drinks, saw two interesting ones, so got the cucumber Soya milk and the Jasmine tea with bean jelly.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Beef noodles:
Very spicy even though the least spicy was ordered.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Shredded chicken noodles:
The broth was good, no MSG thirstiness after drinking it.
The shredded chicken was tender and pure white meat, no veins or bruises on it and the spring onion and cucumber was chopped finely too.
For the drinks, the cucumber soya milk was a nice soother to the spicy foods, however if it were less sweet it would have tasted more natural.
As for the Jasmine tea, it was also too sweet, that woman said it wasn’t that sweet, she lied!!
But overall that woman was really nice and smiling all the time.
It was nice drinking the Jasmine tea with jelly, the other one was jelly dessert with osthmanthus,, but I don’t really like flowers.
As for the other desserts it was interesting, they had pudding with chilli’s and herbs.

Froyo @ agnès b. Café LPG

I came here especially for Froyo, not because of the recent popularity in Froyo, but the cute Mini profiteroles toppings.
I wonder if the size of these are smaller or the ones at Clover are smaller?

They were so cute, each profiterole has a chocolate base, and the mini profiteroles in the display jar had a white base.

It costs $30 per cup, and there is a choice of mango or original froyo, with a free topping and a choice of sauce.
The choice of toppings include: fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, rainbow meringues, mini proferiteroles, cocoa powder, hazelbut cookie curmble, palmier crumble, oatmeal cookie crumble, millefeuile, almond, hazelnut, liquid filled boba, mochi.
As for the sauces they had: chocolate, caramel, creme brulee, peach and pineapple, but unfortunately they didnt have creme brulee on the day I went.

The funny thing was, I ordered the mini profiteroles as stated on the choice list, but they didnt know what they were until I pointed to it on the choice list, and after some mumbling between the staff, they said "ar mini puffs ar".
Anyway the mini profiteroles were really cute, it would be so cool, if those tiny things were pre-filled with froyo, just like cream filled profiteroles.
Apart from the Froyo, the Jasmine mini cake was also quite pretty, it has glittery gel on the top, which I am intrigued to know what those glistening particles are.
