Pacific Coffee x Vitasoy... More than just coffee

PC celebrates their silver jubilee this year by collaborating with Vitasoy, a local brand that all Hong Kongers know.  Hence there are a collection of Vitasoy-inspired coffee drinks and food as well as a limited edition co-branded glass mug.

The Black Soya Panna Cotta with Quinoa & Chia Seed is served in this cute little mug jar with a lid so I had to get it. It was so silky and delicious with a rich bean taste and it comes with a matching wooden spoon.

For drinks, had the Iced Vitasoy Soyabean Milk Latte which is Vitasoy Soyabean Milk mixed with their signature 18/25 Altura coffee, with black sugar jelly added to the bottom and crispy whole oat sprinkled on top.  The taste is smooth with a crispy twist yet it was quite delightfully bittersweet.

3 wishes in 1 - Tea, Dessert and Vegetarian fare

As well as food, tea is another big thing for me, be it Chinese leaf tea or English tea.
At 2dp, they serve Brewteaful tea, desserts and vegetarian food which all happen to be my thing.

It is a modern Chinese tea house that uses Chinese teas in their icecreams, cakes, bakeries and of course their artisan teas while modern vegetarian food is served on the menu as well.

Vegetarian and Tea menu:

It was good to see blackberries as not many places source them in Hong Kong.
For drinks had the Lavender blackberry tie guan yin, white rose tea and lychee grapefruit white tea.
+++++++++++

Anyway, started with some vegetarian bites which were as good as expected.
The tofu bites were tasty and the cheese, potato and leek bites were crispy filled with fluffy potato filling. It was interesting to see it paired with pickled cabbage which reminds me of this Chinese takeaway in UK.

Homemade tofu balls:
 Potato and cheese potato wontons:

For dessert, I managed to scoff more than I expected because they were not sweet at all which is healthy and infused with a fragrant tea taste. The cream horns are a must try because the pastry is soft with a slight chew coated in a sweet glaze filled with fragrant tea custard.

There are two flavours puer tea or tieguanyin.

The teapot cake, again in two flavours was also good because it was tea flavoured mousse with cake layers in the middle, I chose the tiegwanyin apple teapot cake because it was flavoured by refreshing apple puree in the middle.

Finished with the icecream, again there are two flavours. Personally I liked the puer chocolate because the tieguanyin was a bit bitter.

Definitely will be back soon for the vegetarian burgers and breakfasts!~ The HAND DRIPPED TEA is also very interesting.

Smashed duck (Indonesian duck confit)

I was in Causeway Bay because I wanted to try I See I See but I had to have lunch first so I was just walking along to see if anything took my fancy.
Ended up here because I wanted something different and the smashed duck caught my attention because the name was interesting and it looked like duck confit.

Went in and ordered it, the food came moderately fast.
They offer you gloves to eat the duck but I preferred using cutlery.

Smashed duck:

The duck and rice had this tasty crispy stuff sprinkled on top and there was a wedge of raw cabbage, cucumber slices and two pieces of tofu.

There were two different pieces of tofu, one was an ordinary one and the other was a tofu patty.

I liked the tofu patty because its texture was mushy with an acidic taste.
As for the duck, it was nice but the meat was too dry otherwise I would have given this place top marks.
The dish costs $50 which is quite expensive for Indonesian food.

Dreamy delicious congee at Dream Tofa

The menu was limited before, they only had silky tofu dessert and fishballs but now they have congee and savoury beancurd.
These new items definitely lured me there because I love savoury snacks more than sweet.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Congee with soybeans and pork:

The congee tasted really nice because there were lots of soybeans in it which were tasty and had some chew to it.
It would be good if they put tofu in the congee because I reckon it would taste nice.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Marinated beancurd:

The tofu was hot and silky which was complemented by the sweet sauce and spicy chili bean sauce.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Will be back for more.

Simple stop for tofu

Stopped here for some food because I was still hungry.

Had some noodles, tofu in soy sauce and panfried tofu with fish patty.
They had an English menu which was good, but don't worry it is a typo so they won't serve curbs to you but curd!

Loved the soft texture but it was too sweet.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
panfried tofu with fish patty:
Tried these before but they were quite tasteless on this visit but if you just taste the tofu, it was tasty.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
noodles:
It was good that it had pieces of tofu puffs in it but the noodles were not hot enough and a bit too greasy.

Tsuen Wan's Icecream Brothers

Wandered into this mall because my friend needed the loo.

So while I was waiting, I had the tofu icecream.

The icecream was really hard and the spoon could have been bigger.
However the icecream did have a strong soybean taste.
The menu is in English, Indonesian as well as Filipino.
