[Review] Brunch at Little Bay Croydon

Stumbled upon Little Bay in South Croydon so decided to check it out.
Went in and fell in love with the red velvet decor so decided to dine there.
Little Bay might look ordinary from the outside but you are going to get a big surprise!
The quirky theatrical decor wins it all!

Brunch was a bargain, priced from £5.95-‎£7.95 with a choice of eggs benedict, florentine etc

As I wanted something light I went for the Avocado Toast which was Crushed Avocado with Poached Egg, Cherry Tomatoes, Olive Ketchup and House Hollandaise Sauce.
I think the hash brown was thrown in by accident.
For £5.95, it was more than delicious especially the olive ketchup which was olive paste that complimented everything nicely.
Tea was also included so I felt my brunch couldn't have been more complete!

The only difficulty was trying to capture the beauty of Little Bay as the lighting made it a challenge.

Seafood Sunday brunch with music

Wake up to a good brunch with live music and seafood at ALIBI - Wine dine be social, CORDIS in Hong Kong.

There are plenty of freshly shucked Pacific rock oysters, poached prawns, New Zealand mussels, scallops and Canadian snow crab for those who love seafood.

On the Western selections, there are cold cuts, cheese, Raclette cheese, Live egg station and more.

Hot dishes include paella, slow roasted suckling pig, vegetable gratin and grilled prawns.

There was free flow of fruit juices, meji yoghurts and sweet treats:

Now to the food, I loved the scrambled eggs because you get to choose the ingredients and the Raclette cheese is always my favourite.

For mains, there is a choice of Wagyu beef, Lobster thermidor and lamb so we had different mains.
I thought lamb and beef were the best.

Finished with a Citrus flavoured souffle and Belgian waffle.

Delish all you can eat seafood [Bella Vita]

Tried the Bella Vita Sunday Brunch on the first day it was launched.
Basically it is all you can eat for $498 including Prosecco, white and red wine, juice.
I liked the grapefruit drink because they mixed it with some carbonated water which gave it a nice fizz and they had tea as well.

There is a buffet table for the antipasti which had:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Assorted Italian cold cuts, Parma ham with melon

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Smoked salmon

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Burrata cheese and tomato, Deep fried calamari

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Selection of cheese

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pan seared foie gras

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
The seafood is all you can eat and they will serve a seafood platter and oyster platters which you can order again when you want some more.

For pastas, these are cooked to order.
Basically you select a pasta from a choice of Linguine, capellini, penne and spaghetti and choose a sauce from a choice of Arriabiata, vongole, carbonara and bolognese.
The sauces I recommend are bolognese and Arriabiata and for pastas I like linguini and capellini.

The portions of these are quite small which is good because you can try more pastas.

For the mains, there are steaks, lamb and seafood to choose from.
We chose the Florentine steak which can be ordered for an extra $80 per person (minimum of four people because the steak is quite big).
The Florentine steak is a T-bone steak with tenderloin and strip steak on the other side.

The mustard variety was good too because they had fruity mustards!

To finish off, there were a nice choice of desserts such as chocolate pudding and mixed berry mousse.
