Purple potato choux crème

Walked past and saw the new purple potato choux crème so decided to get it.

It was light filled with silky purple potato mash and cream decorated with purple potato cubes.
The sweetness was just right but I didn’t like the crumbs that were coated on the cream puff because it is just weird.

Crap service at Tai Koo's Choux Creme

This branch of Choux Creme is right next to some other stall.
Anyway, when I went to order, there was only one staff there in Choux uniform so I assumed she was the one to approach.
After I approached her, she went to the other stall and poked the staff who then served me.
It appeared that she did not understand English so I spoke Chinese back, anyway they are doing a stamps promotion but she didn't give me a stamp card until I asked.
There were double stamps that day too which I had to remind her.

Ironically the reluctant woman who poked the other staff to serve me had to make the choux creme because the one I wanted was out of stock!!

Apple and cinnamon puff:

The apple and cinnamon puff was surprisingly good because the pieces of apple were not too sweet and the choux was light and crispy with light buttery taste.

Bittersweet obanyakis and green tea puffs

Sweets House Cha Cha (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Usually I am here for the soft serve but now they have custard puffs and obanyakis too.

When you come up from the elevators, you will see that Sweet House Cha Cha has three counters, one for soft serve, one for custard puffs and one for obanyakis.

They all had displays and easy to understand menus.

Green tea custard puff:
The custard puff had a crispier outer pastry compared to other puffs such as beard papa.
Inside the puff was lovely and cold green tea custard.

The green tea taste was grassy and I felt that it was a bit too bitter.

Matcha custard obanyaki:
The obanyaki was crisp on the outside because it was freshly made and the inner part was a bit chewy like mochi.

The green tea custard was sweeter than the one in the custard puff and also very bitter as well.

As a conclusion I liked both of them and its best to consume them straight away.

Pandan Choux Creme @ Jusco Kornhill plaza

Found out there was a pandan flavoured choux creme so came here to get it.
Luckily there were still two left so I just got one.

Pandan Choux Creme:
The colour of the pandan cream in the middle was almost bright green!
It was quite messy to eat because the cream was quite heavy and the choux bun was really light.
I tried the pandan cream which did have pandan taste but the taste of the whipped cream was stronger so the filling was a bit too sickly.
Luckily the sweetness was not too sweet.
