[Sinmei Tea] Honeylicious afternoon tea

Tried Sinmei's new matcha afternoon tea.

There are scones, Lamingtons, yoyos and topped waffles served with jam, matcha ganache and my favourite magic green sauce that is found in the Hakka thunder tea.

All my favourite sweet treats with a strong matcha taste.

As well as the tea, they are serving Hibiscus tea, Yuzu Australian black tea and the Matcha latte with fresh honeycomb flown from Brisbane's Bee One Third while stocks last.

My favourite was the hibiscus tea because it tastes natural compared to other places and the Yuzu Australian black tea goes well with sweet honey too.
Here is the matcha latte with honey which looks delicious with that foam cap on top.

Manuka honey chiffon cake @ Maxim's Cake Shop

The Manuka honey chiffon cake flavour was new so tried it.

Manuka honey chiffon cake:
I was expecting it to taste horrible but it was actually quite nice.
The cake slices they had before that was honey flavoured was gross and had a strong butter taste.
However this new chiffon cake was much nicer, the butter taste was not there and it was lovely and soft.
The sweetness was just right and the manuka fragrance was very strong and you could taste strong manuka honey in it.
The only negative comment was that it was too oily.

Honey Filled dumplings @ Fifty Fifty

I rarely go for Chinese sweet dumplings unless there is something interesting inside the dumplings.
Here they are filled with honey!~

I thought the Honey filled dumplings came in ginger soup according to the reviews, but they only had the honey soup.
While I was waiting, the decor was nice and colourful so I took pictures of that.
On the front of the menu they had a few lines about fifty fifty, but sadly the world is not in equilibrium anymore.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
The world is a matter of
half and half, fifty-fifty
half day, half night
half men, half women
half good, half bad
half yours, half mine
half sweet, half bitter
More sweets, less bitterness
and therefore a more beautiful life

Raw honey dumplings:
The dumplings were interesting, the size of the dumplings were smaller than the usual ones.
In other places they are bigger so you get around 5-6 per portion but here they are smaller so you get more.
I thought the honey filling would be liquid but it was crystallised honey.
The sweetness was not too sweet.
After finishing the dumplings the soup does not taste so sweet which is good.
