Grilled beef @ Chili Club

As always the food is great here, decided to post the pictures here and not on a commercial website that reviews food.

Charcoal Grilled Fillet of Beef served with Spicy Sauce
The beef was tender and grilled just right.
The sauce accompanying it was the best, there was lots of lemon juices and finely chopped herbs.

Stuffed Green Mussels in thick Curry Paste
The curry sauce was good but the mussels were frozen ones that lacked the fresh taste.

Baked Rice with Minced Pork and Black Olives
The portion used to be small but now you get loads of rice.
I love the dark soy sauce and chopped up olives.

Turkish baked potato @ 薯皇 Big Potato

As a brit, we all love the Jacket, so had to give this a try.

Although it isnt really the typical british baked potato with butter, there are lots of choices, ie seafood, mexican etc. Actually you can say the toppings are like a normal brit jacket, except the skin is not that crunchy.

Nevertheless, the potato is cut in half, and the guy mashes the inside nice and soft, so it is very convenient to eat, with no hard clumps. Then he carefully adds the toppings and then the sauce.

The ocean one I ordered has prawns, sweetcorn, olives, purple cabbage, with mayonnaise, their home made pink sauce and ketchup, personally I didnt think Ketchup would match with it, so I opted without.

But anyway apart from the burnt skin, it all tasted good, a nice combination.
Presentation was pretty too, all the different colours, ie the sweetcorn, sauces, and the purple cabbage.

If only the surrounding was better, there is an irritating dustbin infront of the shop, where you have to endure the nasty second hand smoke from smokers, and the burnt cigarette butts.

Anyway as for the turkish owner, I believe he used to be the chef at "Our Restaurant"

Savory Olive cherry tomato mousse cake @ caffè HABITŪ

Was intending to try the Molten sea salt chocolate cake, but it was sold out, so opted for the tomato mousse cake with Olive oil.

A bit strange, the combination reminded me of Italian Panini, anyway tasted a bit weird but ok.
The bits of tomato tasted hard and sweet, like glazed cherry.

Also ordered Breakfast tea as well, but I can never understand why people never give milk with tea, unless you request for it.

Fried cheese with Olives @ Ireland's potato

After my food bingeing trip at MK, this was my last stop, and to finish it off it wasn’t that nice.

I got the fried cheese with Olives, I love Olives, however there was a lot of Pesto mixed in it.

I thought it had been over fried, the breadcrumb was rock hard, and broke the plastic fork when using it to break the cheese ball in half.

Also if the shop had been more air conditioned, I would have liked it more, it was baking hot in there, and the fried cheese was piping hot too, had to wait ages for it to cool down.

Next time I will try the apple pie.
