More choices at White Beard Fish n Chips

As I was going to Art Central, I stopped by for some snacks!

I was surprised to see new items on the menu and they even have paprika cocoa fish and chips and mushroom popcorn which means I have to go again to try it.

There were apple pies in the cabinet which looked like McDonalds one.

Sauces:

Oysters:

Batter was light and the oysters were huge and juicy with a strong taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sauce:

The oysters didn't really need sauce but I found some liquid filled pearls in the sauce which was interesting.
They would probably go well with the battered fish when the citrus liquid inside bursts to cut the grease of the battered fish.

Apple pie:

I tried it because I was curious if it was McDonald's apple pies and yes it tasted the same but the apple pie here is sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.

Tea again at Owl Cafe

I have become fond of this place because the tea and desserts are great for $35.

This time they had brown rice jelly ( genmaicha ).

brown rice jelly:

The taste of brown rice was not strong but there was rice in it and you could also taste fragrant yuzu too.

2015 Turnip cake from Canton Room

At the Canton room, they have three types of puddings for CNY.

Scallop Chinese radish pudding:

Traditional CNY pudding:

Golden water chestnut pudding:

Anyway, I tried the scallop Chinese radish pudding.

This Chinese radish cake was loaded! There were so much huge dried shrimps and chunks of preserved sausages in it.

I loved this Chinese radish cake because the radish was chunky and crisp but not raw with sweetness.

Sweet treats at Bakery Cafe

Walked past and saw this new bakery so went in.
There were cupcakes and donuts.
I went for the strawberry jam donut.

The donut was dusted with powdered sugar but there was not much jam in the middle and it tasted like a pre-made donut.

Dreaming of Las Vegas at Little Vegas

I have always wanted to dine here because it is a themed restaurant.

There is a similar place I tried before called SF Veggies which is just like San Franciso.
Inside Las Vegas you are greated with Casino related displays, slot machines and roulettes.

I liked the wine glass with sweets but it would be good if it was filled it with local American sweets instead of Japanese sweets and International sweets.

The menu was designed just like a tabloid.

The variety of dishes on the menu was quite good and they had three types of ravioli but unfortunately the carrot and coriander is not served anymore because the locals are not brave enough to order it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Dice chocolate:

A nice chocolately drink which tasted a bit like Tiramisu with a stong chocolate taste with a hint of coffee.
At the bottom it had square cubes of jelly which remind you of dice.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Vegas Morning:

Menu description:
Black truffle scrambled eggs, beef tenderloin, bacon, veal sausage, pork sausage, hash browns, roasted tomato, baked beans, mushroom, bagel

I loved the chewy bagel which was topped with fluffy scrambled eggs infused with truffle flavouring.
Both sausages tasted almost the same even though one was meant to be veal and the other was pork.
I ordered the Vegas morning because the menu says that it comes with tenderloin but when it came it was a huge beef patty and the texture was a bit dry and chewy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fettuccine with beef in soya sauce:

Pasta choices were creative because they had tom yum pasta, green curry penne but I ended up choosing the fettuccine with beef in soya sauce.
The menu says Fried but I think they meant Stir fried pasta but anyway it was really good because it is an improved version of the Chinese stir fried flat noodles as it was not so oily but unfortunately the strands of fettuccine clumped together.

Green tea:

It was a bit too sweet.

Having tea in the green field

This cafe is on the corner but I never had a chance to try it because it is small and often full.
You will never miss it because the green at the top is faded by the sun and the inside looks very old as it were not open.

Anyway, finally tried it one afternoon and had the green tea with roasted rice which was brewed with a tea bag.
There were light lunches available but I already had lunch.

The green tea taste was rather light.

Although it wasn't impressive, I have finally tried this place and there was a nice view of Central where you can see Queen's Road and Wellington Street.

相惜's Comfy cafe

Discovered this comfy cafe so decided to check it out.

There was nice cosy seating inside.

The menu was great because it had waffles, all day breakfast and baked potatoes.

It was interesting that they had a Chinese name too.

As I already had lunch, I ordered a fruit tea.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fruit tea:

The fruit tea is served hot so you can really smell the apples and lemons in it.
I really liked it because it was not too sweet and I found it extremely refreshing and warming on a cold day but in my opinion I think it would taste better cold.
