2009 Christmas turkey @ MAYA

This is the cheapest Christmas lunch I have had so far, but not that British, firstly the starter was quite oriental, containing sugarly sweet papaya.

Then the mains came with baby sweetcorn too.
I get annoyed when I order TEA and they ask if I want it with Lemon or Milk, because then the whole place dosnt feel that British, and tea is with milk traditionally.

Anyway, just another option for people I guess.

Overall, it was turkey roll with dates, gravy, broccoli, cauliflower, half baked/boiled potatoes and mash.
The mash was the pre-made ones where you add water to it.

The dessert was dense sponge with peel and currants and vanilla sauce, although it was meant to be brandy, I couldnt taste it.
I think I would only recommend the Christmas lunch to Hong Kongers, It is value for money since it is a five course for $98 (bread, starter, soup, main, pudding and tea).
