Himalayan black salt is extremely distinctive because it has this unique pungent smell like eggs which also comes in handy in cooking because it tastes like eggs.
I would describe it like a salt form of msg because it really gives it that umami kick to dishes.

Is this the tradional black salt mae with with herbs, seeds, and spices and then heated to high temperatures...or is it synthetically made from a combination of sodium chloride, sodium sulfate, sodium bisulfate, and ferric sulfate...I tasted it and it has a manufactured taste....
