Sencha at My Cup of Tea

Stumbled upon this lovely Japanese style tea room while I was on my way to Leicester Square.
As a lover of tea, how could I resist.
There were so many teas to choose from so I reduced my choices and went for the Sencha.
It was really hydrating and refreshing on a hot day.
Overall, it was a great place to have tea and the service and quality is just as good as other Japanese tea houses.

Katsute 100 Japanese tearoom

Located behind Angel station is this quaint Japanese tearoom with a serene secret garden.
I have been eyeing to try this place so finally went one afternoon.
However the tea I wanted was sold out.
The gyokuro tea would probably have been a good alternative but I decided to revisit on a quieter day because it was rather full that day.
Anyway, here are the photos for now.

Beef Brisket noodles at Ekachai

I am not really fan of Hong Kong style food because it usually disappoints but the noodles looked good at Ekachai so decided to pay it a visit.
Sadly it was money well wasted, it was bland yet the soup tasted nice on its own, so did the beef but put them together and it was tasteless.
The beef broth was sweet and hydrating with a beefy taste like a good quality pho soup then the beef had nice characteristics of proper Hong Kong brisket with hints of caraway seeds while the noodles were soft without an alkaline taste.
I didn't like the way the beef but cut into small cubes because it just ruined the meat structure even though the mooli was spot on with flavour.

The menu:

Spicy wings and burger at Spice Hut, Romford

As a spicy wing addict, I just cannot refrain myself from trying this shop.
I liked the way they had kids meal so you can try out their quality.
Spice Hut just stood out with its pretty pink floral backdrop which is rather odd for fast food as it is more of a cake shop/cafe thing.
Anyway, moving on the food, the range of the menu was amazing, there were curries, doners, burgers to fried chicken.
I had the burger first and it did not disappoint for 99p with decent cheese.
On the table were these spicy sauces and the chilli one was really comforting as it tasted the same as this regular I used to go to.
The spicy wings looked the part, however the colour is brighter than most shops I have visited.
The wings were not bad but they didn't come off the bone easily like other shops.
Overall, I would definitely come back.
