Best chips with curry sauce from Stratford is back

After a harrowing half a year, Stratford Market Village which closed down overnight in January has reopened.
Thankfully Newham Council has saved them.
As soon as I found out, I went back for my favourite chips and curry sauce and visited my favourite Centre CafĂ©.

Kaburi Red Dragon Roll from The Sushi Co

Delicious sushi The Sushi Co.
Stumbled up The Sushi Co which has lots of branches in the UK.
I didn't have any expectations but was pleasantly impressed by the quality with the Red dragon Kaburi roll and Tuna Nigiri.
The red dragon was Seaweed/ Avocado/ Tuna/ Chives/ Fried Ebi Prawn/ Eel Sauce.
The combination of the fried prawn, creamy avocado and the savoury tuna was delicious while the quality of the tuna was really good as it was strong in umami taste and saltiness.
It was so good hence the extra order of the tuna nigiri, even though the tuna was thinly sliced, it was still tasty.
Last but not least the texture of the rice was just right, not too hard or soft or clumped together.

Ethiopian fare at Addis

I love injera which is a soft fluffy sour tasting Ethiopian pancake eaten with meat and/or vegetables.
This time I went to Addis which is on Caledonian Road where there are many Ethiopian restaurants but Addis is nearer Kings Cross Station hence the reason I dined there.
I was tempted to leave and go to another Ethiopian restaurant because service was so slow.
I had the Dulet which was finely chopped lamb tripe, liver and red lamb meat cooked with Ethiopian spices.
The injera was served first and it was so soft and fluffy like an English pancake but very sour tasting like there was so much fresh lemon juice in it.
Next came the dulet which I thought was saucy but it was dry.
Overall, I found the dulet too chewy because it was mainly 80% tripe and couldn't find any liver so the other 20% is probably lamb meat.
The injera at this place is definitely the best I've had but probably chose the wrong dish to go with it.
On a side note, the sharing plates are huge!!

Mange Tout! Eat all

Ended the night beautifully with a delicious authentic French meal!
Started the with dark chocolate tea by Waterloo, although it was not French it was a good beginning as it was so nice.
For mains had the bouillabaisse and stuffed squid which was flawless.
Dessert was the clafoutis which reminded me of bread pudding with delicious cherries.
Definitely mange tout in French as we ate everything!
It would be nice if they had il es flotant but I would be gutted if they did in future because I don't often hang out in Brighton.

Belgian Chips in Brighton

This Belgian Chip joint outside Brighton Station has been here for years yet I still have not tried them.
Although, the chips are freshly cut, they were not my cup of tea because the texture is too crispy as it has been fried quite a few times.
Admitted, they are probably better off tossed in sauce/with sauce but I wasn't interested.
I chose the dill which didn't make an impact on taste even though there was quite a fair bit of it.

West Pier Fish & Chips

Only dined here because I was rushed for time, I could see from a distance they were not real chippy chips from what people were eating.
It wasn't a good sign as people didn't even finish them or barely touch them judging by what was left on the table.
The fish however was better but it's sad that they couldn't deliver the chips.

Dinner at Miller & Carter Steakhouse, Horsham

Dined at Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Horsham as most of the restaurants were not taking orders.
My previous meal here was for breakfast in Bristol.
The meal did not disappoint, obviously the steak is the star of the show but the sides were just as good although a little salty.
The barbacoa (pulled beef) mac and cheese was seriously good and the slow-cooked beef shin was divine.
Both dishes were quite similar as it had pulled beef.
