[Pivo Czech Bar] A great night out

Hong Kong is a small place yet you can practically find almost every cuisine here.
Went to Pivo Czech Bar as I have not had many Czech dishes before.
Czech cuisine is influenced by the countries surrounding it like Germany and Austria.

As well as Czech dishes, there was quite a variety of other dishes to go for so we ordered a mix of other dishes as well.
*************
Started with the tacos which had a slight Japanese twist to it with nori tempura as a base.
There were three to choose from: smoked salmon, beef or eel!

Pivo Salmon Nori Taco:
It was pretty good because I love nori tempura and it had some orzo on it so this was quite an appetizing teaser to start with.

*************
We had two salads, the Irish Crab Soba Salad and the Pomelo shrimp salad.
Both were good but as a carbs person I liked the soba as it was filling dressed in Japanese style creamy sesame sauce.

Shrimp Pomelo Salad:

Irish Crab Soba Salad:

*************
Snack Platter: Wings, Spiced Watermelon, Achiote Tuna and Truffle fries
The snack platter was good for sharing.
The wings were spicy and crispy and the watermelon was topped with my favourite feta cheese, while the tuna was slightly spicy.

*************
Classic Monte Cristo Sandwich:
Again I picked this as you don't see many places offer it.
Monte Cristo is American and it is basically a fried ham and cheese sandwich!!

This one had a poached egg on top which made it even more delicious with the runny egg yolk.

*************
USDA Striploin 10oz with peppercorn gravy and bacon:
Although the beef was the star of the show, my eyes lit up on the bacon which was crispy all the way through!

*************
The Bohemian Goulash Mac & Cheese wasn't very cheesy but nice and hearty with chunks of beef in it.
Conchiglie is used as stated on the menu.

*************
The Mussels in Beer were plump and soft.

*************
For dessert we had the Dutch Babies!
There are three Dutch Baby Pancakes to choose from: Original, berries and apple and cinnamon.
Each flavour was good in different ways, the original was just simple and satisfying while the berries had a lovely mascarpone cream topping and the apple on would satisfy any sweet tooth.

Overall a great place to hang out with lots to choose on the menu.
