Saint Honore's Crispy chocolate roll

I was intending to get the fruit roll but they didn't have it so I got this new Crispy chocolate roll which was big and cheap costing $34!!
It seems that the rolls are inconsistent because the amount of cream is different in every roll.
The one I got had too much cream in it.

The roll was really good because it was soft and chocolately but the jelly tasted weird because it was sour and didn't quite match the taste.

The taro cake was also too sweet but hope to see them come up with a taro roll or pandan roll.

Okinawan brown sugar roll @ Saint Honore

The Okinawan kokuto (Kanji: 黒糖) roll looked delicious because it was filled with okinawan sugar mousse, okinawan sugar jelly and purple potatoes so decided to get it.

The box reminded me of Anna Sui!

As you can see, there are chunks of jelly, sweet potato and mousse in the centre.

I ended up eating half of the roll because it was not too sweet and the roll was soft and light with fluffy light mousse and bits and pieces that gave it an interesting mouthful.

Saint Honore’s new Earl Grey Swiss Roll

The fancy Swiss rolls at Saint Honore are really nice.

So far, there has been:
Green tea with mango (don’t like mango)
Fruit roll (haven’t tried)
Okinawan brown sugar roll (really good)
Earl Grey tea

My favourites so far are the Okinawan brown sugar and the new Earl Grey.

The Earl Grey roll is filled with Australian milk mousse, Earl Grey jelly and mochi.

I really liked it because every part of the roll was delicious from the fragrant but not too sweet roll that had a natrual Earl Grey taste to the lovely Earl Grey jelly and mousse in the middle.
The mochi element was a bit weird though because the texture was sticky and sweet.

Chocolate roll from Saint Honore Cake Shop

The chocolate roll looked good so got it.

The roll was soft and firm with a strong cocao taste.
Inside the roll, there was thick sweet artificial cream and pieces of jelly.

Not bad, but I would have liked fresh cream instead of that weird cream.

Chocolate banana roll:
I do not really like banana cakes but this was really nice, the chocolate roll was soft and not too sweet and the cream in the middle was really nice because it was creamy and thick.

Pandan swiss roll rolling all da way

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pandan swiss roll:
The cake tasted similar to the paper wrapped cakes with a lovely pandan flavour and cream in between it.
Overall it was really nice and filling.

Swiss roll @ Hoixe Cake Shop

Got these swiss rolls from the monthly meeting, they always buy from Hoixe Cake Shop.

Every month it is either egg tarts or paper wrapped cakes, probably because they all cost $4 each.

This time there were Swiss rolls.

Swiss roll: The Swiss rolls were quite big. The cake was quite soft and the sweetness was just right. Inside it was the usual buttercream that had a slight salty taste to it.
