Cherry Lattice danish at Papillon Caffe

Found out they had a new cherry danish on their Fanpage so went there to get it.

Before I went in the restaurant, I was bursting so went to the loo but you needed a key for it.
Since it was locked, I decided to get the danish and go afterwards.

When I entered the restaurant, the guy working there was so nice, he greeted me with the magic key without me asking.

Anyway, I returned and got the cherry danish.

I got the Pain au chocolat and the Cherry danish which looks like a cherry danish lattice.

Pain au chocolat:

This was nice after it was warmed up, the pastry was flakey and soft with deliciously melted chocolate inside with a buttery fragrance.

cherry danish lattice:

This was my favourite because it was loaded with tart cherries complemented by the sweet buttery pastry.

Simply not good at Simplylife Cafe

Went here for a quick bite so grabbed the salmon danish for $15.

After ordering, I had to ask for it to be heated up because they were served cold.

The danish pastry texture was not crispy or flakey, it was soft, chewy and buttery just like the pre-packed croissants.
On top, there was a slice of melted processed cheese and beneath it was grounded cooked salmon.
For $15, you can't really expect much because other places charge $3X for the same crap.

Cute danish slices

Cute mini Danish slices @ La Rose Noire Bakery Mar 27, 2013
La Rose Noire Bakery (Central)
Got my favourite Danish pastries from La Rose Bakery.

This time they had slices which are smaller so I chose two.

Blueberry danish:
A perfectly baked danish with sweet custard and blueberries on top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Strawberry and peach danish:
The strawberry and peach danish tasted better than the blueberry because the tartness of the strawberries and the sweetness of the peach were a great pairing together along with the sweet smooth custard.
