Galbani burrata pop up bar in London

London's first ever pop up burrata bar.
I love burrata especially as starters but Galbani has proved burrata is delicious savoury as well as sweet like on French toast or paired with chocolate and cherries because it has a mild creamy taste just like this Lithuanian cheese.
I tried the burrata with nectarines which was the perfect marriage of fruit and nuts.
The red onions and creamy burrata were delicious together.
Basically heaven on a plate with nectarines, figs, pistachio nuts and red onions.
I didn't feel left out not ordering the one with prosciutto as the vegetarian pistachio also had an umami touch to it.
In sweet form burrata was just as decadent and a treat because you rarely get them in desserts.
The pairing of my favourite chocolate cherry was amazing with choc shavings, plump cherries on a soft but firm chocolate cake.
Nothing was cloyingly sweet
I was so impressed that something you can buy from the supermarket is restaurant serving quality.

Asteroid City diner pop up

Although I have not watched Asteroid City, as a foodie I had to go to the Asteroid City diner pop up which has a 1950s theme serving diner style food.
I didn't know you could just go to the diner without going to the exhibition so I ended up going to the exhibition as well.
The menu is limited and not what is offered on the board but they do have milkshakes, hot dogs etc.
Ordered the pancakes with bacon, hot dog, jello, tomato juice and gooseberry milkshake.
I was actually looking forward to the gooseberry milkshake which is unusual and it made me wonder if it was even American.
Overall, I enjoyed the jello and gooseberry swirl milkshake.
The jello is just jelly topped with whipped coconut cream where you can really taste the coconut in the cream.
I have a feeling it was made with Hartley's jelly!
As for the milkshake, it was different and the tartness of the gooseberry went well with the vanilla ice cream.

A taste of Iceland - Immersive experience

I was so glad I went to the immersive experience by Icelandair because you get a feel what Iceland would be like.
The ice tunnel was fantastic however the blue lagoon lacked the fog effect that day which was not available.
It was really good they also had samples of glassy Volcanic lava to see as well.
At the end of the trip, you get to try Iceland style soups and skyr which were really tasty.
The lamb soup was the best with tender chunks of lamb which was really comforting.
Will be trying lamb jerky soon.
I felt that the book system could be better because on eventbrite, it was for the schedule events only but there should be more slots of so that people can experience the environment.

Swapping a soft drink for Corona cero at The Nature Exchange

I love trying new drinks so I was all for trying the zero alcohol Corona, the catch is that you have to trade in a soft drink.
Corona has it all sorted with a free vending machine so I swapped a soda for the Corona cero.
I loved the nature spot and environment where you can enjoy the drink.
Overall, I found it tasted just like beer without the alcoholic kick and you still get that bitter kick.

Nutella Happy Portion Parlour experience

Nutella recently did a ‘Happy Portion Parlour’ a pop-up experience where they demonstrated how you could serve so many amazing sweet treats and breakfast with just one heaped teaspoon 15g of Nutella.
I was so glad I went along to this Nutella themed parlour where the decor what red and white!

Before the experience, you fill in the flowchart which tells the kitchen more about yourself so that the kitchen can personalise the right dessert for you.

Drinks are included as well so I had tea.
I was served pancakes with blueberries, yoghurt and nutella which tasted amazing.
The fluffy pancakes with Greek yoghurt and nutella tasted so nice together and perfectly complimented each other.

As well as food, I was really impressed they provided selfie lights which can be used for selfies and photos.
The light definitely helped with the photos.
When you leave they give you a nutella spoon but it would be great if they give you a mini tub of nutella so you can experiment on your own recipes.

Location: 59 Greek St, London W1D 3DZ
When: 25th – 27th August 2022.
