[Review] Pukka Pop Up Herb Hub for Tea at Covent Gardens

Discovered the Pukka Pop Up Herb Hub while I was at Seven dials.
I didn't realize it was a pop up until I looked it up on the internet, but I like the way you can buy any tea bags for 1.99 because I find it a gamble when trying new teas which was recently the case when I bought the Pukka Three ginger and found it not to my liking.

At the pop up, you also get to sample teas which helped me to choose.

The staff there are also really nice and made a sample Cacao Maca Magic latte which I have always wanted to try.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the cacao maca magic latte.
There was also matcha chai latte on offer as well.

Anyway, here are my ten teabags where it comes in a box or you can choose a tea tin for a little extra.

Swish and Smell your teas in Wine Glasses at [Van Gogh Senses]

At [Van Gogh Senses], they are now serving fine food and cold brew tea pairing.

I found it a unique experience as the afternoon tea is paired with cold brew teas in wine glasses.

So as a tea lover, you get to try all their signature teas with scrumptious treats that are paired with it.

I love tea so it was a brilliant experience as it takes tea to the next level where you can smell and swish it in wine glasses in a stylish way.
You won't find me gulping down wine but you will find me gulping down teas as I am thirsty for tea all the time!!!

All of them were good especially the passionfruit oolong and chocolate mint tea.

Flamingo Bloom is blooming at IFC

On my first visit, I knew this tea brand was going to be a success from the branding, decor and design. Now they have opened a third branch at IFC!!!!!

It is so amazing that they have their own flip flops which I got today for only $19 with any drink above $33. [on promotion till the 8th]
The flipflops are so comfy too because they are curved and light!!

Anyway, the rose oolong was satisfying as the tea flavour and rose were balanced. There was a nice caramel aftertaste. Also had the Jasmine Lychee which is good on a hot day because it was sweet and blended with ice into a slush.

[TEA HUB] Where Tea Lovers unite

I appreciate teas so whenever there is a new tea house or tea themed cafe I have to go and check it out.
When you go in, you will notice the simplistic yet modern decor.

The menu is extensive, where you will find set meals, tea based drinks and cakes.

The set meal is pretty simple, you can choose from Chazuke, Noodles in tea soup, or noodles in cold tea soup paired with two sides from a choice of four.
Tried the Chazuke and Noodles in Tea Soup.
Both were filling and the sides that day were yuzu and sencha chicken wings, tofu in Jasmine tea, mixed mushrooms in oolong and fish in lemongrass orange dressing.

Noodles in Tea Soup:

As well as the tea flavours in the sides, there were lots of tea leaves that you could see in the tofu and mushroom.

++++++
There were so many drinks to choose from so I had the chocolate with masala which was chocolate with a hint of spices. Masala Chocolate:

The Matcha Au Lait was a popular drink, where you get to mix the matcha and pour it it. It was fun and you get try the matcha before you pour it in to see how it tastes.

As well as Matcha, they also had my favourite Earl Grey in chiffon cake form. It was light and fluffy complimented with my favourite whipped cream.

I can't wait to come again but queues are expected on the weekends.

3 wishes in 1 - Tea, Dessert and Vegetarian fare

As well as food, tea is another big thing for me, be it Chinese leaf tea or English tea.
At 2dp, they serve Brewteaful tea, desserts and vegetarian food which all happen to be my thing.

It is a modern Chinese tea house that uses Chinese teas in their icecreams, cakes, bakeries and of course their artisan teas while modern vegetarian food is served on the menu as well.

Vegetarian and Tea menu:

It was good to see blackberries as not many places source them in Hong Kong.
For drinks had the Lavender blackberry tie guan yin, white rose tea and lychee grapefruit white tea.

Anyway, started with some vegetarian bites which were as good as expected.
The tofu bites were tasty and the cheese, potato and leek bites were crispy filled with fluffy potato filling. It was interesting to see it paired with pickled cabbage which reminds me of this Chinese takeaway in UK.

Homemade tofu balls:
 Potato and cheese potato wontons:

For dessert, I managed to scoff more than I expected because they were not sweet at all which is healthy and infused with a fragrant tea taste. The cream horns are a must try because the pastry is soft with a slight chew coated in a sweet glaze filled with fragrant tea custard.

There are two flavours puer tea or tieguanyin.

The teapot cake, again in two flavours was also good because it was tea flavoured mousse with cake layers in the middle, I chose the tiegwanyin apple teapot cake because it was flavoured by refreshing apple puree in the middle.

Finished with the icecream, again there are two flavours. Personally I liked the puer chocolate because the tieguanyin was a bit bitter.

Definitely will be back soon for the vegetarian burgers and breakfasts!~ The HAND DRIPPED TEA is also very interesting.
