Simple fried egg, luncheon meat and tomato sauce

The fried egg and luncheon meat with tomato sauce reminds me of the same dish at Happy Restaurant in Tsuen Wan.

Although it was just simple fried eggs, luncheon meat and tomato sauce, it was really nice.
The egg was fried just right and the frying oil used was fresh and did not reek.
As for the tomato sauce it was delicious, it was not sweet but nice and savoury.
Although the sauce does not taste like real tomatoes it was similar to western tomato soup and it was really moreish.

Expensive fried egg and luncheon meat with rice @ 昌記茶餐廳

This place is famous for fried egg with soy sauce, with a combination of either vegetable curry, luncheon meat, or roasted pork.

The set cost $30 which includes the usual chinese drink.

Basically it is bed of rice with two pieces of fried luncheon meat and a fried egg.

This simple dish should taste nice, but somehow I found the egg overfried and rubbery, and the luncheon meat was very dry.
The other people around me had a nice runny egg, but mine was overdone.
The soy sauce was tasteless.

I think if it tasted nice, then $30 is very well spent, but since it was a bit dry, I felt that I was paying too much since it was only a plain fried egg and luncheon meat.

But then maybe I just happened to get one that was over done, because the people queuing for this place is huge, so it cant be that bad.

One stop noodles for $11 @ 佳豐粉麵店

Stopped by this little joint for noodles, however its ordering system is different.

It was similar to ordering noodles in Sai Kung, however the noodles at Sai Kung are much pricier and they will take the noodles to your seat after you have ordered and paid.

At this restaurant, you order what you want, pay for it and then YOU collect your bowl of noodles and find a place to sit down.

I was not keen eating beef organs so I just chose fried luncheon meat.

The noodles were not the ones I were expecting, they were the springy type noodles found in wonton noodles.
But quite reasonable for $11.
