Chinese pina colada @ Hui Lau Shan

These days I am beginning to like huilaushan, I have been trying mango free products.
(Mango is a popular in hk, yes i know, but i hate the taste of mango)

This time I got the Golden pineapple with crystal jelly to go with my dumplings from the new four seas dragon.

The layers of the drink was quite pretty, clear jelly at the bottom ( crystal jelly), layered by clear yellow, then coconut milk on top with some pineapple pieces.

After mixing the layers, I found notes of vanilla, then sweetness of pineapple and the crystal jelly.
Overall it was a bit like Pina Colada.

Althought HLS claims to be healthy, yes I do agree fruit is healthy, but sometimes I think too much sugar is not healthy.
I agree sugar should be added, but for natrually sweet fruits such as mango and banana there is no need, infact this is why i like smoothies, as the banana is a good natural sweetener to balance out the sourness of the berries.,

But anyway, I requesteds for less sugar in my pineapple drink, it was fairly sweet, so I would hate to imagine the the sweetness of normal one!!

The stars at STAR STREET @ Chez Patrick Deli

Nearby Star Street used to be Chez Patrick with sturdy black wooden frame windows, however it is now the new French Deli in Wan Chai.

Across the road there is Classified, the area is just perfect for European diners.
I prefer the new Chez Patrick Deli, you can just walk in and grab some cakes or delicatessens.
They have wooden shelves with Jam, honey and teabags for sale.

There are native French Chefs there too.

Anyway I got the Vanilla éclair and Hazelnut Bavavois.
Vanilla éclair:
The choux part of the éclair was slightly hard, so was the icy, but inside there was custard cream
Hazelnut Bavavois:
This was quite heavy, but there many pieces of hazelnut in it.
For improvements: They should provide forks for takeaway.

Creme brulee froyo @ Cherry on Top

Sometimes when I walk past the flavours are boring, but today they had creme brulee so I stopped to try it.
Athough it was probably due to creme brulee essence they used for the flavouring, it was quite nice and the taste of creme brulee was quite strong.
The vanilla one kept its standards.

But for any froyo flavour that isnt the original flavour, I do not have the expectation of real froyo taste.
I just expect it to taste like cold milky soft serve with flavour.

Other flavours I have tried: original, vanilla, strawberry, sesame, chocolate and kiwi.
The one I liked the best was Vanilla, softer than softserve and not so creamy.
The rest were icy and tasted like Yakult.
The chocolate was not that strong.

The choice of toppings were OK, however the cherry had that fake taste which I havent had in ages.
It tastes like Cherryade and cough syrup, nothing like Glacier cherries.
