Who doesn't love Cheese at Pick & Cheese, The Cheese Bar at Seven Dials

Throwback of The Cheese Bar before the review gets mouldy but then it doesn't matter with blue cheese, the mouldier the merrier.
When Seven Dials opened, the most successful and popular eatery was probably Pick & Cheese which is the world's first cheese conveyor belt.
Since then, it has been going strong.
Finally tried the Pick & Cheese which was a fab and affordable experience for cheese lovers.

Truffled baron bigod: Brie style Baron Bigod and a sandwich layer of black truffle & British cream cheese with crackers
Coolea: Classic gouda style paired with cumin roasted pineapple
Stilton paired with chocolate hazelnut brownie
Port & Stilton Affogato: Stilton & caramelized walnut gelato with a shot of ruby port.
Coolea: Classic gouda style paired with cumin roasted pineapple

I know what cheese I like hence my selection was to my liking except the Gouda because I didn't like the crumbly texture as I'm more of a brie/cheddar/blue cheese person.

Sour Cherry soda at Darlish

Ice Cream is obviously what Darlish specializes in but I went against the grain and had a drink.
As fan of Cherry, I didn't hesitate to get the SOUR cherry soda at Darlish.
Priced at £5, I was quite upset when I saw it being made that I didn't even want it because I was expecting it to be made with soda water or the sparkling Evian cans in the fridge and not Sprite.
To make it even worse it was Sprite Zero which has these awful sweeteners.
Overall, I didn't like the drink because of the sweetness which defeats the purpose of being a sour cherry drink.
On top of that I didn't like the overpowering taste of sprite which they should have renamed the drink Sprite and sour cherry.
If I wanted to drink Sprite, I would get it myself not for a fiver.
I know Darlish specializes in ice cream but I thought the Sour Cherry soda was unique which was why I got it.

Malaysian Street food at The Spice Lab - St. Mark's Church turned food hall

I don't eat much Asian food in UK and if I do it has to be worth me going!
This year has been interesting, all the Asian places I have dined seemed to be owned by Malaysians like Olympic Cafe, Eat Lah and Ong Ong buns!
My visit to Mercato Mayfair was mainly because of the location being a church turned food hall!
At the entrance there is a delicatessen and when you go inside you are greeted with a hall of tables with the eateries on the side.
On the ground floor, there is a pasta bar and pizza and upstairs you have the Asian eateries.
Upstairs, I was struggling to choose between the ramen or the Malaysian joint but in the end I decided to have Malaysian fare mainly because the rice is visually striking and I can compare it to EatLah.
I didn't feel like curry so the lady was really nice to do me some chicken satays with their signature tricolour rice.
The food was served on a plate so I was confident I could get photos of it with the alter on the background and not dropping food on peoples' heads!
The owners were really nice and gave me a roast coconut drink which I had at home.
Overall, the chicken satays were tasty, they were sweet itself and the sweet peanut sauce gives it more depth.
The star of the show which was the rice, was my favourite especially the blue rice coloured by blue butterfly pea flower and the tasty yellow turmeric rice.
Also seen on their instagram, they also have green matcha rice and charcoal rice.
Definitely recommended but I plan to come back on a weekday when it is quieter.

Second Best Chippy on Tripadvisor: Fishcotheque

A few years ago I spotted this fish and chip shop in Waterloo called the Fishcotheque and made a mental note to visit but obviously I forgot about it.
I was recently at Waterloo again so paid a visit to Fishcotheque which is now rated the second best London chippy on Tripadvisor.
Prices are cheaper for takeaway and there is a service charge dining in even though it says "service charge MAY be charged".
Anyway, I decided to dine it because I like dowsing my chips in salt and vinegar.
All their chips are fried to order because you can see a big strainer of chips by the fryer.
I only had the chips because I wanted see how good their chips was so I had the small.
When they arrived, there was a lovely chips smell as well as a fishy aroma which gives it that delicious authentic chippie taste.
The colour was perfectly blonde with no browning and veins and chip size was uniform with a few super long ones.
Good chips are when it soaks the salt and vinegar and gives that moreish salt and vinegar kick followed by a silky potato centre which almost melts into a silky potato liquid in your mouth!
Overall, it was good but the exterior of the chip was a bit dry with a chew like wafers that had gone off but I believe it was because the chips got dehydrated sitting in the strainer until it was ordered to be fried.
