Rhubarb and Jasmine doughnut from Crosstown

Ended up getting another doughnut from Crosstown because it was Rhubarb and Jasmine.
Again, you have that consistently good doughnut base with chia seeds and then there is that lovely refreshing rhubarb jasmine compote that's not too sweet.
However I would like a bit more tang to the rhubarb and a stronger jasmine floral note.
Overall not bad and worth trying and unsuspectingly vegan.

[Review] Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream - China Town

There are two branches of Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream and they are famous for its purple ube ice-cream and other sweet treats.

Mamasons specializes in Filipino ice cream with special items during the weekend when there are more people.
There are two branches, one in Chinatown and one at Camden.

As I was at Leicester Square, I tried Mamasons over the weekend as they had the donuts as well.

I went for the ube icecream on ube brownie as well as the donut.

If you have tried Flipino food, a majority of it can be quite sweet but overall Flipino food is extremely delicious especially dinuguan, pinkabare, taro leaves etc.

At the Chinatown branch of Mamasons, you can expect it to be quite busy being in a prime location so best to visit on week days.

The ube donut was just pretty, an ordinary donut contrasted by the purple creme which had a rich and fragrant ube taste, however the doughnut dough was a little disappointing because it wasn't yeasty and it was rather oily and yellow just like Chinese donuts.

As for the ube brownie, it was definitely different because it was made of ube hence the dark purple.
Unfortunately, I found the texture too sugary but luckily the ube ice-cream fared better.

Also had tea, but it was too hot to handle as they didn't have cup sleeves but luckily they gave me another cup.

[Review] Dunkin Donuts in London, Baker Street

I don't know why there are so many Krispy Kremes in London, yet there is only one Dunkin Donuts.
As a foodie, how could I not give it a visit.
At the bigger restaurants, Dunkin Donuts has candied bacon while the London one just specializes in donuts.
The London branch of Dunkin Donuts was really nice and the guy at the counter was really friendly.

Tried the chocolate donut hole and it was really amazing, I liked it because it was yeasty and overall it is much better than KK because it is not oily nor can you taste the oil.
Definitely coming back for more donut holes.

[Restaurant Review] Japanese apple donut at Neds Noodle

As well as noodles, Neds Noodle serves sweet treats as well.
There were these captivating Japanese donuts filled with custard or apple coated in a chai sugar.
It was definitely intriguing, so I went back to the old street branch since they serve tea as well.

When the donut came, the shape was odd, after turning it round, I realized it was a fried Taiwanese guo bao stuff with apple coated in sugar.
Although, the colour was a bit dark, it actually tasted really nice so I really recommend it.

[Review] Krispy Kreme Festive donuts

Krispy Kreme used to be an addiction of mine where I used to try all the flavours, however in the recent years, there have been too many donut shops popping up taking donuts to the next level with over the top decorations and toppings etc.

Drawing near Christmas, Krispy Kreme have launched a range of festive donuts which drew me back, basically not overly fancy yet affordable compared to modern donuts these days.

What captivated me were the square parcel shaped donuts with shimmer on them.

The cherry parcel was my fancy.

Once again I was rekindled with the sugar satisfaction from the Krispy Kreme donut that was filled with delicious tart cherry jam.

Although there was no almond, I strangely tasted almond in the icing which was to my liking.
