[Falafel TLV] A big portion of hummus that satisfies your craving

Discovered this fantastic joint because I was checking out a restaurant nearby.

Basically they serve hummus and falafel which are both my favourites.
This place is called Falafel TLV so you can tell it is from Israel because of TLV ie Tel Aviv.
The menu was quite simple and they even serve desserts and drinks.

Anyway, the hummus and the falafel are a must so I had the Hummus Tahini and falafel.
The hummus are made with fine Bulgarian chick peas.

+++++++++++
Hummus Tahini:

It was so comforting to see this huge portion of hummus because it is just how it is served in London.
The taste and texture was really creamy that it was perfect with their soft fluffy pita bread.
The portion of hummus was generous that second orders of pita bread were needed.
It was good for sharing and sufficient to dip three pita breads.
+++++++++++
Falafel:

The falafel was uniform in size and they were nice and crispy. The oil is changed daily which guarantees the quality.
Each bite was delicious and had a lovely smell of cumin.
+++++++++++
On the table, the AMBA sauce (mango sauce) was addictive because it was really refreshingly savory yet strong that it goes with anything especially falafel and shawarma.
++++++
They also sell condiments imported from Israel and they even have my favourite Zaatar!!

For drinks it was either Lemon and mint of Banana tamar which is milk, banana and dates.
I went for the banana tamar which was quite palatable.
++++++
Finished with the Malabee which is a rich pudding made of cream milk, rose syrup topped with coconut and crushed peanuts.
It was similar to a milk pudding but the creaminess was stronger and it has a curd like texture.
[My Malabee didn't contain the rose syrup because I requested it without]

cheese and ham roll @ Starbrucks

Usually I go to Pacific coffee more, but came here to try the cheese and ham roll and the sausage roll.

The sausage roll actually tastes better than the pacific coffee one.

The cheese and ham roll, is actually pita bread rolled with ham and cheese and heated. I thought it was a bit small in portion and expensive for that price.
The cheese inside is basically the processed cheese slices like the ones found in burgers.

Pita bread and salmon @ CEO

As always, the food is always good at CEO, this time had the tea set, the chinese description for it was "bock beng" so i assumed it was pizza, as most chinese translate bock beng as pizza.

In the end it was pita bread, which was even better, there was a lovely dip to go with it, vinegrette and olive oil and herbs.

Thank you for the excellent roast potatoes! @ THANK YOU VERY MUCH

This shop is really called Thank you very much!
It was also one of those shops on my to go list in Sham Shui Po.

It dosnt sell the "usual" type of food.

I think they are unique in Hong Kong, especially since they serve Pita bread for beef burgers and not kebabs.

The main items that they serve are pita breads filled with different choices of filling:
beef burger, prawn cutlet, duck breast, pork neck, fried fish filet.

I chose the beef one and got the combo which includes a choice of rice, salad, or fried potato wedges and a drink.

After ordering, I was given a letter "a" which was rather cute, it was much more memorable than those plastic coins with numbers written on it.
Due to the design or the shop and the food they served, I felt like I was at infant school playing shop keeper and customer role playing games.
Pita bread with beef burger:
This looked exactly like the product shot, the yellow sauce which I thought was cheese was actually sweet sauce.
The burger tasted really good, even better than I imagined.
I would have preferred less sauce, since it was a bit sweet.
The pita bread was the best, slighty chewy and soft and tastes better than a hamburger bun.
The whole thing feels light and healthy apart from the sauce. Potato wedges:
Before I ordered, I saw them in the display cabinet and they looked delicious already.
Although they call them potato wedges, they are actually ROAST POTATOES to me.
The pita bread was good, but this was brilliant.
The shape of these potato wedges are actually like cubes, not wedge shaped.
The potatoes are uniformly crispy and golden on the outside, yet fluffly and soft in the centre.
It was so delicious, because it tasted like roast potatoes, but these had salt and spices sprinkled on the surface.
The only improvement is less salt, because it was slightly too salty. Apart from that, customer service was excellent and friendly, the staff was patient with questions and answering the customer.

Still my favourite, and surprises everytime @ Oh Food!

Glad that people are getting to know Oh Food.
Their flyers are effectively being distributed because I have had many people asking me if the food is good and I have also seen people walking around with these flyers in their hands.

Every time I come, there is something new on the menu, and by the time I write my review it may be out of date.
Even now, I have found some new items, which I want to try such as the Lasagne with white sauce and the seafood pasta with green sauce!~
I am curious to taste the green sauce because its hard to imagine what is could be.

A new scheme since my last visit was the member’s card, anyway for the latest information check out www.ohhalalfood.com

Egg Sandwich:
Although it does not look Arabic, it tasted quite nice.
As you can see the filling was generous, there was lots of egg and tomato.
The sauce was just right, not too sweet, and there was a touch of cumin in it which made it unique.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
Thoom sauce:
As always, the white garlic sauce is so heavenly light and fluffy.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
Fries:
Also my favourite, because I like the thin fries and the spices on top complement it very well, however I still have not managed to find out what the spices are.
I wish I knew what they were.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
Green pea salad:
One of my favourites salads here which was previously not available, and I think the herbs are mint leaves.
The taste of this starter is not that strong and gentle on the stomach before the main food arrives.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
Apricot juice:
This is another new item on the menu that was previously available in the north point branch.
However it was slightly too sweet and it tastes like if water has been added.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
chocolate eclair:
My favourite dessert, the chocolate is chewy on top.
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
sliced beef with potatoes and brown sauce:
Although it looks very dark in colour, the taste is not as strong as you would think, so dont let the colour deter you!
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
pita bread and hummous:
The hummous is runnier than the hummous I have come accross and not so tangy, but i think they use more sesame in ratio to the chickpeas.
