Rude waitress at Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar

Obviously ate more than just a salad at Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar but the waitress here was so rude and served you when she wanted to.
Originally planned to go to the Tai Hang branch but thought that this branch was going to be better but it wasn't.

The salad was nice and refreshing, lots of spinach leaves and cubes of juicy beetroots.
The fennel was nice and sweet.

Unimaginable juice combinations at Healthy Juice

Healthy Juice (Mong Kok)

This juice joint is located in Mong Kok, an area that I avoid dining because the food is weird.
But sometimes, the weird creations in Mong Kok can be good!

I was attracted by their avocado and apple juice but there was no avocado that day so I had to choose something else!

The fruits and vegetables were the usual ones until I spotted okra!

Okra and guava:

There was actually more than one cup in the blender so she poured some of the juice in the cup and told me to drink some before pouring the rest in.
The guava was quite sweet and the juice was extremely viscous because of the okra, however there could have been more okra in proportion to the guava to taste it, but okra is probably expensive which is why they only put three in there.

Okra, beetroot and cucumber juice:

Before ordering this drink, she asked if I have tried beetroot before because it tends to give people diarrhea and upset tummies.
I was more suspicious whether the beetroot has been washed because that is more likely going to be the cause.

The taste of this was much better than the guava but again, there could have been more okra, and there were bits of grit in the drink too.
Anyway, this drink was nicer because it was thick with natrual sweetness of beetroot and the refreshing taste of cucumber!

C'est la Vie @ C'est la B

I have always wanted to go to the branch in Central but I never managed to find it, but luckily there is a branch in Tai Hang which was great. But now there is another branch in Admiralty.

I nearly walked past this place because it was black and dark.

As expected, it was visually stunning inside, lots of black with colourful butterflies, cushions and chairs to contrast it.
The layout of the Admiralty branch is almost the same as this one too.

Even the cutlery they had matched the cake house. Their cutlery was dark shiny black chrome which gives it an expensive touch to it compared to normal silverware and it really fits in with the black theme.
On the wall were a display of colourful acrylic cake servers.
On the left they had lovely hanging teaware lights and pretty butterflies on the ceiling.
Anyway finally went to choose my cakes, there were so many colourful artisan cakes on display.
However they were not labelled so it was a bit intimidating to ask about every cake and luckily it was not busy that time.
I wish they were labelled because it would make my life easier making the right choice because they were expensive too.
I checked the photos for the Admiralty branch and the cakes are not labelled there as well.
I thought it was a waste of great ideas as well because according to the reviews and their website, each cake has a special and beautiful name which was not labelled.

I only found out the cake names from the previous reviews.

Madame Butterfly:
This was visually stunning and since it was not busy that day, the lady was able to tell me what each layer was.
The red was beet root, the pastel green was pistachio and the last layer was chocolate.
Overall I loved this cake, the sweetness was light and the cake was super soft.
The dried apricots at the top were nice too and a better ingredient to use than mango.

SunShine
I liked this one too it was lemon and poppy seed which was so refreshing.
The poppy seed was a good complement to the light lemon cake and gave it some slight crisp texture.

Next time I will get a takeout from the Admiralty branch as well because the cake box is so beautiful, for special occaisions the cake come with a funky cake server knife and candles, for pictures of the box and candles see the other reviews.

Sunday roast everyday @ Delaneys

This is my regular stop for sunday lunch any day, roast meat/poultry sliced for you at the carvery.

The roast includes a soup/salad, and a drink. The salad is self service, at the salad bar, ranging from unpickled beetroot to potato salad.

As for the roast, it has to be collected yourself, but you can pick and have what ever vegetable you want.
The roast I had that day was turkey, and requested for a yorkshire pudding too, and lots of gravy.

Velvet beetroot salad @ Le Traitor

Beef lasagne:
The lasagne sheets were very al-dente with fair amounts of minced beef in between the layers, and there was creamy cheese on the top.

Beetroot salad:
This was my favourite, it was a mix of beets, red cabbage and it tasted like coleslaw with natrual sweetness of beetroot.
