Roasted chicken leg at IKEA

On my last visit I didn't know that there were chicken legs because it was not on the menu.
I only saw them behind the counter when I collected my food.
Anyway, on this visit, there was a small sign near the counter which is really useless because by the time you are at the till, you have already ordered or made up your mind.

I got the set for $16 because they don't sell the chicken leg a la carte.
It comes with fizzy drinks which I don't drink.

The chicken leg was really good, I loved the skin because it was roasted to the point that it was moist and thin while the chicken inside was soft and juicy with chicken oil and juice dripping from it.

Delicious Dutch Poffertjes

Orange Tree
I have been past this restaurant quite a few times but the outside just looked like an ordinary restaurant so I never would have guessed they did Dutch food in there.

The name of the restaurant didn't sound Dutch, but it was a nice name.

I found out it was Dutch from the reviews so decided to go there just for the Poffertjes.

The last time I had something similar were the Dutch oven pancakes which were like big yorkshire puddings.

Poffertjes:

Poffertjes are made with yeast and buckwheat flour which look like small, fluffy pancakes. Unlike American pancakes, they have a light, spongy texture.
They were like cute coin pockets that were soft and fluffy with delicious powdered sugar on top.
I felt they tasted great without the icecream because the icecream was too overpowering.
Although there is no cheese in the recipe, it tasted like there was cheese and it was savoury too which was even more delicious.
They were so delicious, I finished them really quickly!
I'll be back.

Dutch cheese in Sai Kung

the dutch (Sai Kung)
I was surprised to find the dutch in Sai Kung.

It's first branch is located in Sheung Wan, but there are no places to sit down which was why I have not tried it yet.

The nice thing about this branch is that it overlooks the sea.

Cheese with caraway seeds:
I had to choose this flavour because not many cheeses have caraway in it and there were other interesting flavours such as chili or pesto.
The caraway left a nice aftertaste and the cheese was quite mellow and not strong enough.

Next time I am going to try the cheese on toast which is only $40, and you can try the cheese you like before buying because they have samples.
