Crepes at La Petite Bretagne

La Petite Bretagne, a lovely creperie serving proper Brittany style buckwheat crepes with apple cider.
The Campagnarde was really tasty however the frangipane wasn't to die for like the menu said but still nice.
I thought the almond cream was going to be lighter.
It interesting how they have interlocked the cutlery in the tin.

Yorkshire Burritos in Camden

Self-paid Yorkshire Burrito wrap. (Visited in 2022)
Ever since Yorkshire wraps were invented, I have always wanted to try them.
Finally tried my first one from Yorkshire Burrito.
There are three places where you can get them, so I decided to go to Camden for it.
My visit was not wasted because it tasted amazing, so I have been kicking myself why I didn't try earlier.
Instead of roast beef slices, it was braised tender pulled brisket with spinach leaves, stuffing and roast potatoes and of course GRAVY.
Every bite from the beginning to end was amazing.
The black peppercorn gravy really married everything together.
The spinach leaves were functional as well as delicious because it acted as a lining so that the gravy doesn't make the Yorkshire soggy, and it has this lovely substantial leafy taste and texture.
The only thing I did not like which was consistently same for all branches were the roast potatoes.
I found them too dry and powdery like ready meal microwave potatoes.
They lacked roast potato taste and aroma as well as the crispy roast potato texture.
Overall, a must try especially the Camden branch where there are customers hence everything is guaranteed fresh and tasty.

Paid another visit in 2025 and they have now loaded mash pots where you have meat, mash topped with gravy in a pot.

I had the lamb pot and it was delicious.

The mash was good and then you have the meat and gravy.

Berefords Fish and Chips, a Nepalese Chippy

Nepalese and English Chippy at Beresford Fish and Chips.Dined here because it was an interesting fish and chip shop with a Nepalese twist in Greenwich.
There are quite a few Nepalese restaurants in the area which makes sense that this is Nepalese owned.
The fish and chips were not bad but tasty with salt and vinegar.
The chicken momos were ok but not well filled.

Earl Grey Cream buns at Frothee

As foodie I decided to check out this newly opened cafe in King Cross that serves matcha.

Ended up getting the Earl Grey Cream bun.

I had to eat it there because when I was handed over the bag I could see the cream was already on the inner part of the bag.

Anyway, the earl grey cream was light and aromatic but I didn't quite like the bun texture which was like brioche.

Will return to try something else if I am in the area again.

£4.75 Lunch Boxes and £7.95 Lunch and evening sets at Kings Cross Tandoori

Spotted this Tandoori house a while back and made a mental note to go.

It is the first Indian restaurant along the road if you are coming from the station so the other two are quite competitive doing similar deals.

Anyway, dined here one evening.

The well suited guy was really nice and welcoming so were the other staff.

Tried the Special set for £7.95 which is the same for lunch and the evening, you get a choice of a starter and a main served with rice and nan.

Chose the masala which was on the sweet side.

Returned in the day and got the curry lunch box for £4.75 where it is the same as the dine in set, you get nan and riced as well.

The curry was light and just right for lunch so I am so glad I tried it however the starter seemed to be missing but I was full anyway.

Will return to try their other stuff.

VE Day special at Poppies with fish bites and chips for 13p, CAMDEN

For VE Day, Poppies were serving Fish bites and chips at the 1945 price of 13p were all proceeds from the sales of ‘Fish Bites & Chips’ will go to veterans charity The Not Forgotten.
I got my share for 13p and regretted not getting more because the fish bites were so good.

Overall, this branch is so much nicer than the Notting hill Branch were the stuff was overdone.

There was onion vinegar so don't miss out on it.

On the downside they serve pre cut chips that are delivered to them which I suspected anyway from the regular shape and texture of the chips.
