Mushroom chicken burger with free apple pie @ Burger King

Burger king meals are not very filling to me, but there was a free apple pie this time.

I got the grilled chicken and mushroom burger, and as always BK’s chips are better than McD’s.

The burger was nice, but being a mushroom burger I was expecting more mushrooms.

Anyway, next time I plan to try the beef and mushroom burger.

The advantage of BK is that the tea isn’t charged extra, whereas McD’s charge an extra 5 cents for tea when changing from soft drinks to tea in the set meal.

Chicken Quesadilla @ Uncle Hiro's

A quesadilla is a flour or corn tortilla filled with a savory mixture containing cheese and other ingredients, then folded in half to form.
It is a dish that originated in Mexico and is very similar to a quesada. The word quesadilla derives from the Spanish word queso, meaning cheese.

The one served at Uncle Hiro's is a flour tortilla, and is very thin.

It reminded me of the yummy kebabs at the PFC's in London, the chicken was juicy and dripping with chicken juice.
It was very refreshing because there was lots of lemon juice put in it.
However the mozarella cheese was tasteless.
The quesadilla felt healthy because there were lots of shredded lettuce and coriander.

The food is quite expensive here, but at least they do a daily special which they didnt have earlier!

Bakery breakthrough with fresh new packaging @ Tai Pan

Bakery is boring these days, the products have been the same for years, cakes, buns and pastries.

Finally, something interesting was marketed from Taipan, the chocolate cake packaged like a chocolate bar, same with the hokkaido milk cake.

It takes the cakes to a whole new level.
Next time, I will try the caramel roll too.

The chocolate cake basically tastes like the normal chocolate chiffon cake.
I would have preferred if the cakes were cut into cubes making it easier to eat and share.

Currently they sell at $16 per pack, but if you pay by octopus, they only cost $14.
