oatly free drink popup at Westfield Stratford

Oatly were doing a popup over the weekend offering free drinks made with oatly milk at Westfield Stratford.
It is part of a new campaign, which features Norm & Al, the puppet duo who are on a mission to help people go plant-based via the medium of song and interpretive dance.
There was a choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate from kiss the hippo.
I was so glad I tried the hot chocolate because it was really decadent without being too sweet and I loved the oatly whipped cream on top which was creamy and dreamy.
While you are there you can watch the screening of the new norm & al puppet show.
Location: Chestnut Plaza
Friday (January 28) and Sunday (January 30).

roasting plant were also giving away free coffee but I didn't make it.

Free pizza from Violife at Pizzahut for veganuary

Violife is one of my favourite vegan cheeses because it behaves and taste like cheese.
The first time I had violife cheese was at Subway a couple of years ago since then you can find violife everywhere at the supermarkets and many restaurants.
For veganuary, Pizzahut and Violife have come together dishing out free pizzas Thanks to Violife.
According to their social media, they were giving away 1000 pizzas everyday from the 24th - 28th January at their restaurants.
I was so lucky to get my hands on one on the first day.
The pizza I had was the Vegan Flamin Buffalo on a thin crust which had a tomato base, vegan cheese by Violife, vegan chicken marinated in Frank's RedHot sauce, green chilli, Frank's RedHot drizzle and Ranch drizzle.
As a whole, it was a really tasty pizza because the cheese has a lovely melted texture as well as some stickyness and the tomato base and Frank's RedHot sauce make it moreish!
On top of that, there was also the signature salad bar at Pizzahut!

The M***F*** Jerk Joint by Meatless Farms and Levi Roots

It is a busy month with veganuary as this is the best month to discover vegan foods as most of the focus will be on that.
Meatless Farms and Levi Roots have joined together to dish out free meals over three days at a popup in Shoreditch.
Available on the menu was plant-based Meatless Jerk Chicken Rice-n-Peas and the Chunky Jerk Chicken-less Strips where you can eat in or takeaway while stocks last.
It was a three day event from 20th Jan Thurs - 22nd Jan Sat.
I went late in the afternoon as there was a traffic jam and was really lucky I got to try both.
The Meatless Jerk Chicken Rice-n-Peas showcases the new plant-based Chicken Breast launching in Veganuary (availabe for £3.50 at Tesco and Asda) and Roots’ famous Reggae Reggae Sauce.
Visually the jerk chicken does look like a piece of chicken breast.
The chicken strips and slaw were also good.
Both dishes were taken to the next level with the Reggae Reggae sauce which is punchy with a touch of BBQ sauce in the taste garnished with pretty edible flowers.

Exclusive Wagama test dishes at the Noodle Lab

Wagamama is a famous restaurant in the UK that everyone should have heard of, but how many people know about their test kitchen.
Noodle lab is a stylish modern restaurant located in Old Street, London.
At the Noodle lab, you will find the regular menu as well as some exclusive test dishes which are in development before they roll them out.
I have been eyeing their menus to see if there are any test dishes that interest me to try.
Spotted the Soulful scoops which is three scoops comprising of matcha ice cream, ube ice cream and mango passionfruit sorbet.
Overall, I liked matcha and ube but they were a bit too icy in texture for my liking and the flavours could have been bolder especially the ube.
As for the texture you can really feel the crunch of the ice crystals in your mouth and you can see the ice crystals in the photos.
The mango passionfruit sorbet was a bit syrupy but that's the way mango is.
After asking the staff, they said the ice creams are made by Northern Bloc.
