Fraisier Cake from PAUL

Went to PAUL for tea and had the Fraisier Cake which is a cake with layers of light and airy Genoese sponge, cream and fresh strawberries.
The Fraisier cake topped with pale green marzipan and fresh strawberries.
Overall, it was ok but the GIANT fork was more memorable, it was about the same size as the cake!!!!

My favourite cockles and pie mash liquor under one roof

I love cockles and pie mash liquor so when when I found out that G Kelly's on Roman Road stocking seafood from Billingsgate I had to get my fix there.
Although cockles are great by the seaside, it is even better dining there as you can add vinegar and white pepper to your hearts content when you want it.
Also had the dressed crab which was amazing.
Would love to see other restaurants do the same by stocking shellfish and revive the passion as most market seafood stalls are near extinction.

Malay fix at Melur

Another Malay restaurant to my collection.
Tried the Laksa, Char Kuey Teow Basah, Kuih Lopes and Cendol.
Everything was how it should be, ie the mains were very spicy and sweet.
The Cendol was interesting as the colour of the pandan jelly was not as bright compared to other places and very sweet which is how they are.
The Kuih Lopes dessert turned out to be the star of the show because it was sticky warm and soft with a strong savoury taste on its own.
Adding the brown sugar gave it a nice sweetness but I enjoyed it without.

Starbucks' new Extra Summer Lounge pop up, Piccadilly circus

It was really fun attending the Starbucks' new Extra Summer Lounge pop up at Piccadilly circus.
It was a complimentary pop-up event with exclusive drink tastings of the cold foam with selfie printing on the foam and personalized cups.
There was also a glambot which made the experience really memorable.

Rhubarb cake at Jolene

Jolene, another notable bakery in London with a few branches.
Typical hipster bakery layout like the other talked about ones like Sourdough, Chatsworth, etc.
The rhubarb cake was delicious as expected.

Sourdough Sophia

One of the best bakeries in London.
As one of the best bakeries in London, I had to try them out.

Ube Pride June special cruffin.
Sourdough Sophia is a notable bakery so best to get there early to avoid disappointment.
The purple creme cruffin was unsuspectingly ube as it was not labelled and I am so glad I got it as it is only available for June.
It is interesting they had an Asian flavour amongst the range.
The ube isn't strong or starchy but it was like silky fresh cream.
The texture of the cruffin was so soft and flakey with so many distinct layers.
Albeit the ube being too sweet it was well filled.
Overall, definitely recommended.

Smoked trout with herby schmear on sourdough.
Sourdough Sophia is a notable bakery so best to get there early to avoid disappointment.
You can also pre order but I felt that the smoked trout is not worth pre ordering as the ones ready to go are better which I got exchanged because the colour of the trout I got was dull and not as vibrant as the ones at the counter.
The smoked trout was delicious especially if you like dill and pickled onions.
Paid 8.50

Sophie Bow:
An instaworthy bow pastry with super crispy stands filled with passionfruit curd.
Overall, it was nice but the passionfruit lacked refreshing and sharp vibes as it was to sweet.
