When I saw this place a while ago, I just couldn't wait for it to be opened.
It is on Star Street and I love the way you can see right through to Moon street.
Great views of Star Street
Great views of Moon Street
Nice bar area
The kitchen
At Beef and Liberty, they purify their own water.
For every $8 bottle of still or carbonated water sold, $5 will be donated to the local Hong Kong Cleanup charity.
Here was what we tried:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sticky rib fingers:
Tasty rib meat that comes off the bone easily.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Crispy chicken wings:
On the menu it actually says Korean sauce so I was expecting the sauce to taste of kimchi.
However it was just sweet and sour sauce which matched it better because not everyone likes kimchi.
The chicken wings had a lovely light crisp coating.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
BURGERS, BURGERS, BURGERS!!
It was hard choosing the burgers because I wanted to try the chicken, lamb and vegetarian.
You can also order the burger in a bowl without the bun which is served on a bed of luscious salad!!
Cheese and bacon burger:
A meaty burger with melted cheese with refreshing pickles that they pickle themselves.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Falafel burger:
The veggie burger was impressive, it was not just on the menu to please the vegetarians.
I was compelled to try this because I love falafel.
The falafel burger had a falafel patty, sesame sauce, pickles, butter lettuce, tomato and harissa yoghurt.
The burger was tastier than I imagined and better than the beef because you could taste cumin and other spices.
The chef might be offended by this comment but it reminds me of UK's McDonalds veggie burger but tastier.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Lamb:
This had Welsh lamb, mint yoghurt, cumin, pickles, butter lettuce and tomato.
I loved the lamb because of the yoghurt and juicy tomato slices but I felt that there could have been more sauce.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sauces:
There are a choice of four sauces for the fries:
Cucumber mint yoghurt, mayo, cajun aioli and house BBQ.
My favourites were the cajun aioli, house BBQ and cucumber mint yoghurt.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sweet potato fries:
Yay! another place that serves sweet potato fries.
Addictive crispy fries with a hint of sweetness which I felt was tasty enough without sauces to complement it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Liberty fries:
These are Russet potato fries.
Again, they were crisp and tasty on its own.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Organic tomato ketchup:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
ginger and vanilla milkshake:
I loved this vanilla milkshake which had a strong ginger kick without the spiciness.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Desserts, desserts and desserts!!
I was really looking forward to dessert because of the apple pie and the cookie was served in a skillet.
Not many places in Hong Kong use the skillet apart from Green waffle diner and The salted pig.
When they serve the desserts, they pour the sauces from the saucepan infront of you.
Apple pie with custard:
This was a great slab of apple pie served with my favourite custard.
It had sweet big chunks of apple in it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Cookies in skillet with cream:
I've never tried this before but it was really nice because the cookie was soft and chewy and the cream was just the thickest cream emulsion you could ever get with an amazing taste.
