Euro Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go

I have always wanted to try this place, but it is always packed with people and service seems slow!
I finally tried it and the service WAS slow!!

The shop is basically decorated with vector illustrations of Europe, the one outside reminds me of the small towns in UK, and the ones inside make you feel like you are in France.

Anyway, when you enter the shop, the counter is right at the entrance that when you are ordering you are almost standing in between the restaurant and the mall.
[SEE profile picture for this restaurant]

On the left, there is a mini shop selling biscuits, sweets, marshmallows and other packaged goods. There is a glass cabinet with cakes in it too.
The menu is right behind the counter, which only accommodates the person at the front ordering to see.

They have tea lattes in five fun flavours!!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Spring chicken with mashed potato
It was roasted spring chicken seasoned with rosemary and black pepper.
This was quite cheap for $38 but the portion of mashed potato was so small.
The spring chicken was tender and had crispy skin.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Tea Latte with macaroon syrup
The tea latte was really nice with foamy milk on top and the taste of macaroon enhanced the tea and it tasted like candyfloss tea.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Deluxe Pizza
The pizza deluxe pizza had Black Pepper Beef, Pepperoni, Pineapple & Bacon.
The bacon was weird it was grounded bacon and there was a strange taste and smell.
The bacon tasted like those crunchy bacon bits used as toppings soaked in water.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Bacon, Sausage & Mushroom with Marinara Sauce
Same as the pizza, the bacon was weird.
The marinara sauce was nice and had strong tomato taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Mushroom & Sweet Corn with Cream Herbs Sauce
This was bland and not too creamy.

A picture tells a thousand words

If it had not been the pictures in the previous review I would not have considered this restaurant.
The preserved vegetables served with the rice and the savoury soymilk looked good so I decided to give it a try.

Originally I was going to order the traditional Shanghai style pork chops but because it came with preserved vegetables, I ordered the five spice ribs instead.
I also ordered rice with the tofu stuffed with meat because I wanted to try their tofu.
I ordered sweet soymilk with dumplings and savoury soy milk which both could be considered as soup and dessert.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fried tofu stuffed with minced meat
The oil was not fresh and the tofu lacked the taste of soybean.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pork ribs marinated in five spices
With the preserved vegetables that came with the rice, it tasted similar to Tung Po style meat but without the fat.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Savoury soymilk
This was item that I came for and it did not let me down.
There was generous amounts of tiny shrimps, preserved vegetables and fried dough sticks in the soymilk.
It reminded me of Western soup because it was thick and quite wholesome.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sweet soymilk with dumplings
This was inconsistent, I came here twice for it because the first time the dumplings were chewy and delicious and the soymilk was not so sweet, however the second time the dumplings were too soft and the soymilk was too sweet.
On my first visit, when the staff placed the bowl of dumplings on my table, there was a piece of spring onion in the the bowl, and I was impressed that she admitted there was something in the bowl and told me to ignore it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
The chili sauce was also quite good for complimenting the food there.

Attn: To expats and overseas born Chinese! Comfort Food

The food here is fantastic and every dish is good.
Here you will find the menu the same as the takeaways in England and many expats, ABCs and BBCs dining here.

They have all the comfort foods you would find at home and cooked with the familiar ingredients such as baby sweet corns, green bell peppers and those sweet onions.

The must try item is the crispy duck, it is not the Cantonese type with the thick fatty skin. The crispy duck served here and in the UK has crispy skin and soft supple duck meat inside to be eaten with those pancakes.
The pancakes are made by themselves too.
The price of the duck is about the same served in quarter and half portions with the same number of pancakes, which cost about £6.75 for a quarter of a duck and around £12 for half a duck! Here it costs $75 for a quarter and $120 for half a duck.
Likewise extra pancakes costs a few dollars extra.

The curry has the stuff you get in UK such as sweet onions and baby sweetcorns .

As well as Western Chinese food, they also do some Cantonese food, which is quite nice too.

They have duck leg noodles in a herbal soup with Angelica sinensis (donggwai) with wolfberries which I like, but unfortunately it gives me the nosebleeds the day after.
The drunken chicken leg is also good.

Even the Laksa matches the quality of the Laksa served in Singaporeoan places except it lacks the blood clams and prawns, but the taste is good enough and you can choose egg noodles to go with it instead of the boring vermicelli.

Although I usually order the comfort food, the eggs with prawns or roast pork is brilliant as well, especially with extra spring onions.

Sweet tofu with green tea almond @ Chung's Dessert

Tried the Sweet tofu with green tea almond.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sweet tofu with green tea almond
The tofu was silky smooth but it lacked the taste of soybean, it was no different to the ones that can be brought from the supermarket.
There was some sauce covering the tofu which tasted like watery condensed milk, and the green tea konjac was nice but slightly too sweet.
