Sakura shrimp ramen stone pot @ Ajisen

Went to Ajisen because of the new noodles, both were stone bowls, one was pork udon, the other was ramen with sakura shrimp.

Pork udon stone pot
This tasted bland compared to the ramen. However the pork was not that fresh with a strong off smell!

Sakura ramen stone pot
The amount of sakura shrimp was amazingly generous, however the soup was too salty that I had to add two cups of water to dilute it down.
I think the chef did not add enough water to the soup because when it came the soup level was not even half full.

KFC's midnight feast

Had not had a midnight feast in ages, so decided to get the KFC snack combo and the chocolate brownies.

I expected the delivery to take a long time which was part of the plan of having a late night feast!

Anyway, the fried snacks arrived with two sauces: a white one and tomato ketchup, the white one was the sauce used in the chciken burgers.
The snack combo was part of KFC's Christmas snack combo and only available on the delivery menu.

A midnight feast is a British kids thing having a food feast late at night eaten in secret, well not a secret anymore as I have already disclosed it on Openrice!
So go on have fun and be rebellious!

Crispy shrimp and Cheesy roll
Crispy shrimp:
This was basically fried shrimp coated in cutlet, as well as cutlet on the outside, there was an extra layer of grounded prawn in between the prawn and the cutlet.
Cheesy roll:
I was expecting it to be plain cheese inside, but indeed the description was correct, it was surimi meat roll filled with cheese.
Although the crispy shrimp and cheese roll were not crispy by the time it was delivered, it still tasted nice.
Both were nice dipped with ketchup, but I would have preferred lemon with the shrimps.

Chocolate brownies
Basically it was chocolate brownies deep fried, it was too dry for my liking.

Curly noodles @ 泰國路邊街美食

Was not what I wanted to order because I just wanted the curly noodles with the "boat soup" broth.

However I was given the "rainbow soup" broth, which is OK but does not go well with these curly noodles.

Anyway, the "rainbow soup" was slightly sour, but the rainbow soups I have tried at other thai places were not sour.

Tomato broth instant noodles @ Yoshinoya

Most of the items on the Yoshinoya menu are beef, however tomato broth noodles were new on the menu for breakfast.

There was a choice of beef or chicken, which both include a frankfurter as well.

I thought the scrambled eggs was included in the set, but you need to pay extra for it.

The noodles was served in tomato broth, topped with sweetcorn and tomato puree on top and a boiled frankfurter.
The chicken was served separately in a bowl.
I felt the portion size was quite small for the chicken because there were only three pieces, but it did not taste that nice. Anyway the noodles were too soft.

The tomato broth was made from tomato puree and not that sour and it tasted very bland.
The frankfurter was the gritty type and too salty for my liking.

As for the scrambled eggs, it tastes the best, however it was strange there was sweetcorn in it,
The tomato broth noodles is also available for afternoon tea, however the frankfurters are replaced by crab meat.
