3.6 mystery solved @ 米芝甜 McSweety

I wonder if this desserterie has anything connected to Sweetacy in Kowloon City because they both have SWEET as part of the English name, and the Chinese name here read backwards is the Chinese name for SWEETACY!!

With so many places serving snowflake ice, this place has tofu flavour which is yet another flavour I havent tried.
So I ordered a plain tofu one, tofu pudding and 3.6 Hokkaido milk pudding.

Tofu snowflake ice:Basically the same texture as the other ones, however the taste was not that sweet, and tasted exactly of soy milk (vitasoy, but not sweet)

Tofu pudding:This was my favourite, light and fluffy, a bit like mousse. It was textured with coconut like particles in it, without that, it would have been dead flat, just like cream. The tofu flavour was better than the snowflake one, much sweeter and delicate.

3.6 Hokkaido milk pudding:Before I came here, I was rather intrigued why it was named 3.6, it turns out the milk they used for this pudding is 3.6 hokkaido milk, as shown on the photos.
The texture of the pudding was rather wobbly like jelly, but not as firm as jelly.
For me, I found it slightly too creamy and lacking that hokkaido butterness aroma.

Apple crumble and custard @ H-Tea-O Tea Garden

Had a craving for apple crumble and custard, so came here for it.

I came during tea time hours, and ordered the apple crumble and custard.

I waited at least 15 minutes for it, luckily I didnt order anything else, the apple crumble is ready made, and the custard is ready made, all that had to be done was to re-heat it.

The apple crumble and custard tasted ok, the crumble wasnt proper crumble.
The custard was'nt that hot either, although it tasted good overall, the service could have been quicker, same with waiting for my change, it took ages.

Japanese buffet @ 青葉日本料理

Same with all the all you can eat Japanese places, you just tick the colourful sheets and hand it over to the staff.

The range was the basic range, however the drinks were impressive, many choices.

The prawn tempura was the best, and the sushi was good too.

The mini bowls of noodles were cute, and small enough, so that you can try more items.

Lime and pineapple punch @ KFC

Ordered the lime and pineapple punch, tasted ok, basically it is 7-up with pineapple pulp mixed in and a wedge of lime.

Not much in lime taste, the 7-up is more prominent, and the taste of pineapple is there when you eat it.
Basically a drink of elements to themselves, all the elements in the same cup, but not fused together.

Scrumptious seasonal vegetable tart @ Pacific Coffee

Saw this cute vegetable tart, and had to try it, despite I already decided to try something else.

The vegetable tart looked so fun, a mediterannean colourful medly of vegetables: Aubergine, red onions, baby sweetcorn, olives, pumpkin, red pepper, button mushroom, courgette, yellow cherry tomato, red cherry tomato.

It was very fun to eat, and tasted strong of italian herbs. I was expecting a bland tart, but it was packed with more flavour than imagined.

But in general anything tastes good at Pacific Coffee.

Black sugar ice-cream @ 囍宴 甜‧艺

Got the black sugar ice cream, not as good as expected.

It looked different to the pictured product, black sugar syrup was no where to be seen.
The texture of the ice-cream was rather soft and thick, but not as chewy as Mado’s icecream.

A bit dissappointing, because there was not a strong black sugar taste, although it is meant to be bitter, but it tasted more like coffee, so I wondered if they had just given me coffee ice-cream.

Maybe I would have been better off trying the Ferrero Roche ice-cream.
