Chinese style Vietnamese food @ Vietnam Garden restaurant
Tried this vietnamese restaurant in Mong Kok, but felt the food was more Cantonese.
I seem to get the impression that most foods served in the Mong Kok area are cantonese styled even though they are not meant to be.
Ordered the stir-fried vegetables which was cabbages, broccoli and carrots and it tasted like Chop Suey!
As for the noodles, the noodles were not in long strands, most of them were broken which can be seen in the bowl.
The bowl of noodles were really amateur and presented in a mess.

Truth of dare with KFC's Nagoya uma-dare chicken
The Nagoya uma-dare chicken 壺物火鳥 was available last year but I did not try it because I am not keen on the sweet sauce it has on top of it.
Anyway, decided to try it this year and it was surprisingly quite nice.
It is fried chicken covered with sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
The coating for the chicken was not the original secret recipe one, it was much lighter and not so heavy with the MSG that you could taste the Uma-dare sauce.
The sauce for the chicken was not that sweet and there was a hint of vinegar.
It reminded me of the fried chicken in black vinegar sauce served at Ootoya.
If the chicken was not too dry, it would have been perfect.

KFC's Spudastic tomato flavoured Potato party
I love potatoes so i just had to try this, however the KFC in Hong Kong is not as good as the KFC in UK.
In UK, we have fries/chips and not the Criss-cut Fries that come as a standard in Hong Kong, and they also have chicken gravy as an option for chips.
Anyway, since the Potato party 反斗薯 was slightly different I decided to try it.
They are hash browns in the shape of discs and stars which are bite sized.
I was disappointed they also had the criss-cut fries with them because the star of the snack is really the hashbrowns.
I can understand they are trying to give you more variety because it is called potato party, but I dislike these criss-cut fries.
When you open the box there is a tomato scent and the tomato flavouring is sweet and artificial.
If you have tried the Walker's tomato crisps you can actually taste ketchup, but the tomato flavour on these hash browns tastes neither like tomato or ketchup.
The taste is very sweet and not sour at all, it tastes of paprika and carotene flavouring.

Chinese chilled intestines @ 囍囍美食
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
They were too soft and steamed for too long.
The sauce that they put was quite spicy.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chilled intestines:
I DID NOT EAT THIS, but they are intestines coloured orange to make them look appealing.
They are chilled and eaten with mustard sauce and the Chinese sweet sauce used on rice rolls.
Casual sushi @ Okonomi Japanese Food
As for the prices the food there was quite cheap.
The sushi and rice was Ok however the quality was similar to the sushi sold at the local supermarkets.
As for the soup it did not taste like miso soup but tasted like Chinese soup.
