Freezing cold @ Ho Yin Seafood Restaurant

As well as the freezing cold air conditioning, it was noisy and the food was lousy.
Sat down and the air conditioning was about 21.5 degrees C as measured on my digital UV and temperature meter.
Then it slowly dropped to 21.0 degrees.

Chicken
The chicken was not fresh and there was a rancid oil taste.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Prawns on toast
The toast was so thick and the oil was unfresh.
There was chinese salad cream as dipping sauce, not the usual sauces you get in the UK.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Prawn dumplings & Crystal dumplings
Chewy and elastic
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Steamed bun
Too sweet!
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rice rolls from the table next to me
They must have been disgusting as they were there for an hour untouched.

Poached lettuce but in Chinese it said Blanched squid

Creme brulee tart @ La Rose Noire Bakery

As usual the products here do not disappoint.

The creme brulee tart was a new item so I tried it.
It literally tastes like a flattened egg tart but much better because it was topped with crushed pistachios, dessicated coconuts and glazed.
The pastry was flakey, delicate and gently flavoured with butter and sugar.

Fish ShaoMai @ Flower and Fruit 88

I never thought I would buy any food from here because they just sell HK style sweet-savoury sandwiches and sweet-savoury salads.

Anyway, when I walked pasted I saw fish shaomai and rice rolls so I decided to try them.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rice Rolls:
They were too soft and mushy.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fish ShaoMai:
Usually they all taste the same but the chili oil they put on it seemed to have cumin hence the fish shaomai tasted nicer.

Thai style pork knuckle @ The Spice House

Came here randomly on a hot day but it was quite stuffy inside that restaurant.

As I did not know what to order, I ordered the set for $40 which includes a drink and pork knuckles with gravy.

The drink came first, it was Lemon tea.
It ruined the start because it was syrupy sweet. Not long, the pork knuckle arrived but it was luke warm. I was expecting it to be burning especially because it was such a hot day that day.
Anyway, the pork knuckle was dry and tough it seemed like it had been cooked for a long time and left around.
The sauce was a bit too sweet and salty.
