Toast with fish filet @ Wing Lok Yuen Restaurant

After my previous visit for the hotdogs I saw the toasts with fish cutlet so I had to try that as well.
However the review for it was not good because it said the fish filet was thin which was what attracted me to get it.

Anyway on my last review I forgot to take pictures of their receipt system that they give you after you have paid.

Toasted fish sandwich:
Although the fish was thin, I liked it thin because the proportion of toast, fish and breadcrumb coating was even.
The fish filet was tender and juicy and it tasted nice with the sauce that they used for the hotdogs.

Toast chicken sandwich:
The chicken sandwich did not taste as good as the fish because it was just grilled chicken and it was slightly tough and dry.

Crabilicious crab products @ Kanizen

I have always wanted to check this place out but there is no menu at the front of the restaurant and you cannot see what is inside which makes it even mysterious!

Hence explains why there are so many celebrities dining there.

When I attempted to dine there it was hard getting a table because it was always fully booked even on a Monday!

Finally got a table but the place where I sat did not have those cute tiny crabs but it wasnt a bad seat because there was a celebrity sitting opposite.

When you enter the restaurant there is tank of crabs and you have to enter another door into the restaurant.

Crab roe paste:

The crab roe paste was lovely and thick and its unami taste was strong.

Tempura:

The tempura platter contained a tempura egg yolk which was my favourite, it was still molten inside and the exterior of the egg yolk was light and crispy.
As well as the yolk there was a crab claw, but the crab taste was not that strong.
The crab perilla leaf dumpling was better though it had tasty crabmeat inside.

Ginger ice cream:

To finish off there was ginger ice cream and the sweetness was just right, it had pieces of ginger in it and the texture of the icecream was nice and smooth.

Double scoop at Haagen Daz with gift vouchers

With $50 I got two scoops and paid $2 for the rest smile

Tried the vanilla and creme brulee.
The creme brulee was the best, I loved the bitterness from the caramel.
The vanilla was nice and smooth.

Liquid filled chocolate snowy mooncake @ Maxim

It was really nice that the chocolate inside was liquid as stated.

Since I do not like the mung bean, the strong taste from the chocolate was able to cover it.

It was good to cut it while it was frozen to get a clean cut then let it stand for a while to eat.

The last cherry slice before it packed up @ Kings Pastry

Heard this place was closing down so came here one last time for their Chocolate and cherry cream slice.
As expected it tastes like the cakes in UK because they use fresh cream and there were lots of tart cherries in the cake.

However I think they are overpriced because they will not cost that much in UK.

BBQ roast pork with rice @ Café de Coral

Went during the afternoon hours and was fairly hungry so I did not order the hotdog sets, I ordered the BBQ roast pork with rice.
When it came the portion was quite generous, especially the rice.
If the pork had not been so fatty it would have been perfect.
The sauce and oil made it too sweet and greasy.

Afternoon udon tea set @ Yoshinoya

Went during afternoon hours and they had the udon or glass noodles so I tried the Udon.
The udon noodles were too soft and the broth was bland.
