Juiced up and healthy

A while ago I spotted this juice joint because of the pomegranite juice so I made a mental note to come back.
I was having dinner nearby so I went there and they were just about to close but luckily I managed to get some juices.
It was really hard deciding which juice to get but since I couldn't decide I ended up getting three drinks because I am so busy that it will be a while when I will be in Central again.

Each menu was handwritten on a colourful sheet of paper with perfect colour sense of contrasting colours.

There were five main fruit bases:
Kiwi, blueberry, avocado, fig and pomegranate.

For the pomegranate juice they have three different types: Sweet, Sour and Snow white which come from Japan.
Here were the three drinks that I had:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Avocado yoghurt shake $30:
I had to order this because not many places serve avocado drinks except Indonesian joint but the version they do is really sweet and here you have more avocado drink choices such as yoghurt or fruit juice that are blended in it.
I love avocado so I went for the yoghurt shake so it was pure avocado and yoghurt and it tasted amazing because it was thick and creamy with a strong avocado taste that was not too sweet.
It is interesting that the yoghurt is garnished with two slices of lemon on top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fig smoothie $38:
This was another drink I fell for because they use FRESH FIGS to blend this drink which means you get the natural fig taste.
I was impressed because it wasn't watery and there were a good amount of figs that you can truly taste the fig and the hint of grassyness of the fig skin.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sour pomegranate juice $43:
I was warned that the sour pomegranate would be very sour and indeed it was, the taste was acidic just like lemon but there was a sweet aftertaste.
They also have a blend of sweet and sour pomegranate and the snow white pomegranate juice which I shall try next time.

I am definitely coming back again but it will be hard choosing a drink so I will probably just order them all!~!!!

Wasabi Warriors from Australia

When I saw this listed, I didn't have a clue what it was but from the name it was obviously Japanese or something to do with sushi.

Walked past one afternoon and quite a lot of the food was sold out and I was having dinner anyway so I just got a scallop sushi which was labelled as salmon.

I am giving this an OK score because I only had one piece of sushi which doesn't represent the whole picture but I will come back.

I got the seared scallop with mentaiko but the receipt says Salmon.
It was a big juicy scallop brushed with sweet sauce on top which was delicious!!

Apart from sushi, they specialize in sushi rolls which means competition for sugo sushi!!!

2015 Tsui Hang Village's CNY coconut cream pudding

Thanks to the Mira group for sending me this coconut cream pudding.

The coconut cream pudding has a wonderful subtle coconut taste with a moderately chewy texture.

Kee Wah's almond crisps and palmiers box 奇華餅家

At Kee Wah Bakery, there are so many gift boxes for CNY that there is something suitable for everyone.

This box contains almond crisps and palmiers which is the perfect gift for the elderly or people who do not like sweets.

The palmiers were crispy with a buttery taste.

As for the almond crisps they were crispy with a thin sweet coating of icing sugar and crunchy almonds on top.

Flying carpet and the half slice of cheese

My usual complaint with Hong Kong's McDonald's is that they only serve half a slice of cheese in the filet o fish, but according to wiki McDonald's Canada, New Zealand and The Czech Republic serve half a slice as well!

The filet o fish I had was messed up and it was not even hot because the cheese wouldn't melt and it looked like a flying carpet because it was just about to fly out stopped by the burger box!!

The new burgeroom

Tried burgeroom before at their previous location which was cramped and far away.
The new location is much better and located in the food street of Fashion walk.

It was really hard choosing a burger because there was too much choice from unusual choices like Hiroshima oyster, Soft shell crab and Lobster!

Luckily I have already tried the oyster so I had one choice out the way.

Anyway, ended having Spicy breaded chicken wings, Twister fries, Breaded chicken burger and a beef and mushroom burger.
For the chicken burger I added extra chili coleslaw and fried soft shell crab to it.

On the menu, it says both the chicken burger and wings are breaded but when the food came, it was not bread crumb coating but batter coating.
If I knew that, I would have had the lobster burger instead!

Spicy breaded chicken wings $48:

Crispy and delicious with a kick of spices.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Twister fries $28:

Great twister fries which have a flavoured coating.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Breaded chicken burger $75 with chili coleslaw $10 and soft shell crab $75:

I loved this colossal burger with the addition of coleslaw and soft shell crab.
The chicken was chunky and juicy with melted cheese on it and the soft shell crab was crispy and delicious.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
beef and a mushroom burger $85:

A huge patty with earthy pieces of mushrooms, sweet tomato slices and sauce.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
perrier lime $22:
Very fizzy with a slight bitter aftertaste.

Good sense of humour

Thanks to a friend for getting me these chocolates.
It had a bright safari theme packaging and I liked the way they were called ANIMAL DROPPINGS with a cute zebra proudly holding them too!

The packaging and wording is exactly the same as BEYERS Chocolates but they are called African animal droppings with a giraffe and not a zebra.

Basically they were chocolate coated almonds which had a creamy Tiramisu taste and a slight sugary texture.
