All you can eat Japanese food at 三木日本料理

Discovered this place on the way to RedMR, it is located near K11.

There are two sessions and the earlier session is better because there are less people.

As I wasn't very hungry that day I only had the congee and a few pieces of sushi and sashimi.

The flame grilled salmon was really tasty and the congee was nice and light to suit my appetite.

Brunch for kiddies at Papillon Caffe

I came here for the savoury pancakes but they didn't have it so I ended up choosing the Kiddies brunch because it had so many things that I liked such as churros and the mac and cheese.

Kiddie Brunch Set $108
Mac & Cheese, Corn on the Cob, Mixed Fruit Bowl & Cinnamon Churro with chocolate sauce, Served with a Babyccino

I was delighted when it arrived because I love mac and cheese!
It tasted so nice and cheesy.
The churros was delicious because it was warm and crispy and the chocolate sauce was rich and gooey.
The reason why the churro is slightly bigger than normal is the fact that this is a childrens breakfast so they have made the churro easier for little fingers to grasp!

Babyccino:

The babyccino was such a dreamy drink because it was topped with cornflakes coated in icing served in a bright yellow cup and saucer.
A great drink to brighten your day!

NIce chiffon cakes at La famille

The chiffon cakes at this place taste good because they are soft and fuffly without being too sweet but at the same time they are quite expensive.
They have takeaway ones which don't have cream for $2x which is about right but they only have certain flavours so I recommend trying the flavours which they don't have for take out if you are dining there.

Benlimo chiffon cake:

This had pieces of sweet potato with a thin layer of light cream on top which was fantastic and the chiffon cake was moist.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Earl grey and chocolate:

The chocolate taste was too prominent and the Earl grey flavour was not strong enough.
I should have tried a different flavour because they had a takeaway version without cream costing much less.

To be honest I came here just for the Peruvian donuts which are made with sweet potatoes.

PICARONES:
FRIED SWEET POTATO DONUT WITH ORANGE SPICED SYRUP
On first taste, they were weird, they had this acidic bitterness to it which was wrong.

After I spoke to the Chef he tried it and told me that the yeast was not cooked.
Anyway he said he would make another one but the problem was he didn't personally redo the flour mixture hence the kitchen staff used the same batch of flour which had too much yeast hence it came out tasting weird again.
A few comments on openrice seem to mention the weird taste so if they work on the recipe it should taste good!

味道有點怪的,但當與底下的橙汁焦糖醬混合後,味道則很棒

不過我食到有少少微酸味

但就帶點苦澀。(可以是啡色的焦糖漿所致)

SUSPIRO DE LIMENA:
LADY FROM LIMA SIGHS, RICH CARAMEL AND PEDRO XIMENEZ SOFT MERINGUE
 0 讚好

This was really nice because it was really sweet with lots of gooey marshmallow and caramel.
However I couldn't finish it because it got a bit too sweet and sickly.
They could have used a better brand of sweet crackers because the ones they served were not that good.

Healthy cafe at The Kinnet

This cafe is similar to nood food because they serve healthy foods and they are attached to a fitness centre.

Went there for the quinoa sweet corn cakes.

Quinoa Sweet corn cakes:

These corn cakes reminded me of falafel because of the taste and the dips that it came with.
However there was no sweetcorn in them so why are they called corn cakes??
The three dips that came with it were delicious especially the avocado and salsa.
As for the corn cakes, they just tasted like mashed potato with crispy quinoa in it.

Chinese afternoon tea at Putien 莆田

Went here again for tea because this is the only branch of Putien that serves the boxes.
It basically has all my favourites so if you havent tried Putien food before, this is a good starter because it has most of the signature dishes such as the rice, noodles and other side dishes.
As usual the vermicelli was amazing because the strands were evenly tossed and flavoured.

Back for Spam musubi at Pololi

Had a carbs craving again so went here for the Hawaiian sashimi bowl.

This time I had the shoyu ginger and the cubes of tuna were mixed in lots of soya sauce which was perfect with rice.

As well as that I had the spam musubi and it was so good that I had two.

The first one I had was not that firm so it didn't hold together well.

The second one was much better and did not change shape when I took a bite into it.

The spam was addictive because the saltiness of the spam was just right and the egg in the middle made it extremely filling.
