Affordable noodles at 蟠龍粉麵茶餐廳

The food here is cheap and there is a lot of variety.

The noodles are reasonable and for that price I don't expect anything but at least it is clean.

The fish shaomai were my favourite because the wonton skin is not too thick and you could taste the fish as well as the flour.
The chili sauce makes it taste better but it can be quite spicy if you put too much.

Tea again at Owl Cafe

I have become fond of this place because the tea and desserts are great for $35.

This time they had brown rice jelly ( genmaicha ).

brown rice jelly:

The taste of brown rice was not strong but there was rice in it and you could also taste fragrant yuzu too.

The bill: $35

Not as tasty as the first visit at Djiboutii

Went here on a Saturday and they didn't have the lunch deal so I ordered the chicken and they asked me if I wanted rice or fries so I thought the rice came with it but it did not so it was another extra $65.

Rice $65:

I shouldn't have ordered this because I was having another lunch immediately after this.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Roast chicken:

This was not as tasty as my first visit, much of the chicken skin was gone and it was too garlicky which overpowered the other aromatic spices.
The salad dressing was too sweet but it still had my favourite cumin spices in it.

Cranberry tea:

This was nice and acidic but the floral notes were too strong for my liking.

Kudzu drink at Kung Lee 公利

Passed by for a drink and ordered the sugar cane water but when I was just about to pay I spotted the Kudzu so decided to have that instead and the woman was really nice and let me change to that.

I don't think they have kudzu drink at the Central branch.

Kudzu drink:

Compared to the place across the road, the kudzu taste was bland but as I was thisty it didn't bother me.

Chiuchow fare at Tai Ping Kitchen

For Chiu Chow marinated dishes Ar Hung's delicacies used to the number one choice, but it has moved.
This place serves similar fare to Ar Hung.

It is nice that they have an ENGLISH.

One of the chefs is young and cute.

Noodles mixed with house sauce and BBQ Pork:

The noodles were tasty with lovely slices of BBQ pork but the alkaline taste was a little strong.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Goose liver in Chinese wine:

The goose livers were infused with a fragrant strong wine taste but it would be great if the texture could be softer and not so dry.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Rice with chicken, goose, tofu and egg:

The chicken stole the show because it was really silky and tasty, while the goose texture could have been softer.
Anyway, the sauce that they put on the rice was good because it was not that oily.

Sunday brunch again at Jashan Indian Cuisine

Despite having curry at Dicken's bar the previous day, I was still craving for curry and Indian rice so I went to Jashan for Sunday brunch which is their standard Sunday deal.

As usual there was a brilliant choice and there are lots of vegetable dishes like okra and potatoes, vegetable curry and mutter paneer (peas and cottage cheese curry).

They give you chaat and dosas to start.

As expected the curries were satisfying but they were a little too spicy for my stomach otherwise I could have eaten more.

Great Indian curries and rice

Dicken's bar is famous for British fare and Indian curries which is popular in the UK.

There is nothing like a good curry so I came here because I had a craving for curry and specifically Indian rice because the grains of rice are soft and longer.

As it was the brunch session, they had other items as well and they had roast and my favourite Yorkshire pudding.

I mainly got curry and rice because that was all I wanted to eat.
The fish curry was slightly salty and the lamb curry was good.
Both were spicy but the spiciness was adjusted to suit peoples palates.
