Rainbow palette

I don’t really venture into Hung Hom to eat because the location is really inconvenient unless there is something good that I want to eat and it better be worth it!!

Anyway, Hotel Sav is funky new hotel that shines on the corner.
It is definitely the hotel for me because I love anything that is colourful.
Each floor of the hotel has a different colour scheme.

The restaurant is called Palatte and there is a different cocktail each day.

There was an impressive buffet selections which satisfies the basic requirements of locals namely oysters and lobsters.

For me cheese and good breads are a must.

My favourites were the hydroponics salads.

There was made to order pasta where you can choose the sauces and ingredients.

The tandoori chicken was delicious because it tasty but not spicy and the chicken was springy and tender.

There was more meat options at the carvery too!

To finish off, there were so many desserts but the Korean icecream is a must try!!

Second visit at 川味皇

This time I requested for the non spicy broth and it was quite nice because the broth just tastes sour.
I also paid extra for the stewed beef but it wasn't that good because it was the odds and ends that were fat and stringy.
Without the spiciness, it lacks that flare so next time I will have the spicy basic noodle.

Back for more artsy fartsy desserts at ATUM desserant

After dining at Skewed, we came here for dessert.
It was around 9pm and it was quite full already but luckily the sofa seats were available so we sat there.

Tried the Stone and Bamboo charcoal
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
STONE:
raspberry sand, blood orange, white chocolate mousse

Basically this was shaped like a stone and it looks like a big pebble from the beaches.
Inside there was raspberry sauce surrounded by white chocolate mousse.

I found this dessert a bit too heavy but the one below was much nicer.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
BAMBOO CHARCOAL:
raspberry sorbet, chocolate ice marshmallows, bamboo charcoal icecream.

This dessert was really good because the raspberry sorbet was really refreshing and the icecream had this interesting fine gritty texture because of the charcoal bits.

Jaspas could be better

Unfortunately had to go to Sai Kung so went here for a quick bite.
I regretted not going to Mandy's or having fish and chips or the burger place nearby.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Turkish toasted Ham and cheese sandwich:

The ham was a bit dry and they used processed cheese which is it not proper cheese.

Easter hot cross bun series ( Marks and spencers )

Easter cannot be complete without Easter eggs and hot cross buns.
At Marks and Spencers, there were so many fun Hot cross bun flavours as well as the traditional ones made with sultanas and orange peel.
I got the berries and cherries, chocolate, fudge and caramel and the Bramley Kent apple which all did not contain orange peel.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
berries and cherries:

The berries one tasted like Christmas pudding tea.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
chocolate, fudge and toffee:

The chocolate and toffee was the best and surprisingly it was not the sweetest with a strong taste of creamy fudge and toffee.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Kentish Bramley apple hot cross buns:

The Kentish apple was nice with bits of apple in it but I found it too sweet out of the three.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
As you can imagine, they were sticky buns hence I haven't taken any photographs.
I love these new flavours because they don't contain orange peel!

A special night on board the Regent Seven Seas Voyager

Thanks to blogger YFL 生活博客 and Miramar Express for giving me a chance to experience a night on the Seven Seas Voyager.

Before we boarded the colossal 54,400 gross-registered tonne ship we were issued a visitors pass.

Inside there was a lavish reception and atrium with classy elevators that serve 10 decks.

I have been on small cruises before but Regent Seven Seas Voyager can accommodate up to 738 guests with penthouse suits on offer as well.
After this visit, I could understand why my expats friends in Hong Kong would fly back to the UK and join their families on cruises.

That night we dined at Prime 7, an All-American steak house.

The ambiance was grand and amazing filled with laughter and people enjoying themselves.
Food was fine and flawless with a good variety and they even had chimmichurri sauce for the steak and the pickled onion with tomato salad brought back lovely memories of school dinners.

After dinner, we visited The pool deck, observation lounge and horizon lounge.

Hopefully when I get a long holiday, I will take this chance to go on a crystal cruise around the UK which will save me hours of driving so that I can visit the places leisurely.

Back for more chicken mole and paella

Went here again for the chicken mole and paella because I was craving for rice.

For both dishes, the rice was a bit hard.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chicken mole:
The chicken was a bit dry and chewy.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mexican seafood paella:
The rice was flavourful but not as flavourful as my first visit because it lacked prawn taste in it.
After adding lime to it, the rice tasted so much better.
