Tea custard and Christmas mooncakes by Kee Wah Bakery

Thanks to Kee Wah Bakery for sending me more mooncakes.

This time I got Mini panda egg custard mooncakes, Tea custard mooncakes and Mini assorted nuts mooncakes with orange peel.

++++++++++++++++++++
Tea custard mooncakes:
The tea custard mooncakes come in two flavours: Jasmine and Earl Grey, which are my favourite teas.

****EARL GREY****:
The Earl Grey tasted the best because the Earl grey was fragrant.

****JASMINE****:

The Jasmine was also nice but the Jasmine flavouring was not strong enough.
++++++++++++++++++++
Mini assorted nuts mooncakes with orange peel:

This was a surprise, the labeling reminded me of Christmas and it tasted like a chewy Taiwanese pineapple cake loaded with pumpkin seeds and orange peel which also tasted a bit like a not so sweet Christmas pudding.

Not your ordinary Pacific Coffee branch

Went here for some exclusive cakes and other items that were available at this branch but I only had the cake because I just had a very full dinner.

Anyway, the cake and savory selection is good.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Matcha and apricot cake:

The matcha taste was quite light and the apricot filling was not too sweet so I really liked it.

The chocolate curls surrounding it were crisp with a strong cocoa taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
I hope to try the other cakes as well.

Long seafood brunch at Holy Crab

Long seafood brunch at Holy Crab (Central)
Usually brunches finish around 3pm and by the time you get up, you end up missing brunch because it is 3pm by the time you get there.
Here it finishes at 5 so you have plenty of time to enjoy a seafood brunch.

At the entrance, there is live seafood with a pricelist and other items for sale such as Nuclear sauce.

There is a la carte brunch or the bottomless seafood bucket for $418.
I went for the seafood bucket where you get to choose two courses followed by the seafood.

If you are looking for Southern comforts you should try evenings because they have fried okra salad, watermelon consomme, Jambalaya and other dishes which I plan to try later.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
For the first course, we chose all three.
====================
Southern swimmer benedict:
American homemade herb breakfast cake topped with Alaskan salmon, southern style hollandaise and salmon roe.

====================
Southern love on a plate:
Homemade sausage patty with scrambled eggs on a buttermilk biscuit smothered in Southern style gravy.

====================
Crab and meat benedict:
American homemade Andouille and blue crab breakfast cake, topped with grilled sausage and poached egg in southern style hollandaise sauce.

====================
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
The second course was simpler, it was either caesar salad or fruits.

The fruits were rather sweet but there was tart yoghurt to balance it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Finally it was seafood which comes with five sauces: cocktail, tartar, honey mustard, Cajun mayonnaise and Sweet chili sauce.

To be honest, the broth at the bottom of the bucket tasted really nice when you dipped the seafood into it.
They give you aprons just like they do in America.

Prawns were huge. Lobsters were springy and the crabs were fresh.
All of the above were bottomless.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
There is a similar place that serves seafood in a bag in Hong Kong but there are more authentic Southern choices here.

Bursting Chinese French toasts‏

Chinese French toasts are not my cup of tea but I went here because they were filled with runny fillings.
Came here in early May so I don't know how the current queuing situation stands.

Anyway ordered both versions, one with molten salty egg yolk and the other with molten taro.
There was black sesame as well but I don't like sesame.

When I sliced both of them, sauce flowed out.
As expected, there was lots of sauce.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Chinese French toast with molten Salted egg yolk custard filling:

The molten egg custard tasted really nice because it was sweet with starchy bits of egg yolk in it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Chinese French toast with molten taro filling:

The taro had a natrual taste that was not too sweet so I expect th steamed bun version to taste good.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Hope to dine there again when the queue has died down.

Green tea softserve at Arome Bake + Drink

Discovered this place because I saw people walking past eating green softserves.
When I got near the escalators I discovered a new branch of Arome Bake + Drink.

There was a crowd and the queue was disorderly.

When I was next, this other guy tried to push in but luckily the guy in front told the staff that I was supposed to be next.
Most of the stuff was sold out so I just got the green tea softserve for $29.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Soft cream+:

It was a big cone but I managed to finish it all because it tasted really nice, the green tea flavour and bitterness was not that strong with a sweet creamy taste.

Stars at Tycoon Tann

At Tycoon Tann, they serve Rastignac Cognacs.
There serve Rastignac Cognac Three Stars, Rastignac Eiffel Tower XO and Rastignac Extra.
I am not an expert with drinks but they had a strong taste!

The Rastignac Cognac Three Stars cost $80 per glass, $1188 per bottle, the Rastignac Eiffel Tower XO costs $170 per glass $2888 per bottle and the Rastignac Extra costs $300 per glass and $4888 per bottle!

It was packed that night because Michael Miu and Crystal were there.

As well as cognac, we tried Tycoon Tanns cocktail and the salmon canapes.
