Arome bakery is better off serving cakes

After trying the softserve, I decided to try the food.

Tried the pasta in soup which was not even hot, the slice of pork was the worst because it was not fresh and had this weird pork taste.

The scrambled egg was disappointing because it just tasted like a rubbery omelette and the bread was the usual sweet bread.

The udon sauce was syrupy sweet.

Coffee was sooooooooooooooooooo bitter.

The only thing that was good was the raspberry danish.

Indian style noodles at Surya Restaurant

Discovered that this branch serves the same food as Noble Spice in Central so decided to try it out.

The restaurant is nice and spacious.

They give you the usual starters and pickles.

I loved the pickled shallots because they were very appetizing.
For food, I had the Indian style noodles which were loaded with vegetables but the noodles were a bit too soft.

The malai kofti was really creamy and the sauce was fiery.

The chicken kadai was aromatic with green peppers and spices while the chicken was tender and succulent.

The strawberry lassi was a bit weak because it seemed diluted and tasted like Yoplait.

Interesting chips at Bahama Mama’s Caribbean Bar

Had a great time here with some fellow BBCs.
We had the Fish and Chips which was interesting.
The texture of the fish was like and jelly and the chips were not chips but waffle fries.

Durian series at Hui Lau Shan

I love durian so stopped by to try the durian cheese series.
There is a durian cheese puff and durian filo pastry cups.

The pairing of cheese and durian is a bit weird with two pungent ingredients but in HK, they don't really use strong cheeses as expected, the cheese just gave it a stringy texture without really giving it any cheesy flavour.

It is a hot pastry which is quite nice with sweet warm durian filling and some chewy texture from the cheese.
The durian pastry reminded me of this sweet quesadilla which was filled with green tea and cheese at Tai On building.

The other durian filo pastry cup was lovely durian flesh on crispy filo pastry but there was a strange fizzy taste to it.

KFC headquarters in Hong Kong

Previously this used to be Burger King but it packed up.
I was attracted by the new dai pai dong chicken so went there for it.

The breakfast looks good but too early for me.

The layout of this branch is a bit different, it is bigger and the counter is right at the entrance separated from the food collection counter.

I liked this branch because there was no queue.
The decor is nice and some of the seats remind me of Nintendo.

Some displays in the glass cabinet but not related to KFC.

Downstairs, there is a toilet and an entrance to KFC recruitment and training centre.

Dai Pai Dong Crispy chicken:

Basically, it was crispy ginger and spring onion chicken.
I liked the gingery taste but I found it too sweet and it tasted like indomie noodles.
$16.5 is a bit expensive for a piece of chicken.

$28 Tea set at Fairwood

Not really a fan of Fairwood but went here for the tea set because of the mock sharks fin soup.
It was basically a bowl of rice with roast pork and mock sharks fin soup for $28.

The roast pork was not good, it was lean, dry and tough.

The soup was a bit bland for my liking.
