Marugame Udon 丸亀製麺 also known as Marugame Seimen, a famous restaurant in Asia opens their first branch in London, Liverpool Street!
There were long lines on the opening day.

When you get there, you choose an udon which is made to order and then you can also choose optional tempura from the tempura bar.
The udon is freshly made just like pasta.

The Udon bowls start at £3.45 which will get you the kaamage.
For the desserts, they have unlimited vegan matcha £2.95 and doriyakis.

After you have paid, you can customize your udon with toppings at the toppings station and eat.

Pictured are: Beef Nikutama, Chicken Paitan, kaamage, curry udon and kakiage and nori tempura
I had the chicken paitan which was udon with sliced marinaded chicken thigh in a rich chicken soup with a soft boiled seasoned egg.
The udon was soft with a chew in this sweet comforting chicken broth however it would be good if the egg was less salty.

The kimchi yakiudon is nice if you like it soupless and stirfried.

Overall, it was just as good as the Marugame Udon in Asia and I hope to see the UK branch do the tempura egg which was just amazing.
The tofu omusubi was really good but I was too excited that I forgot to get a photo of it unwrapped.

Revisited for the bottomless vegan matcha and vanilla softserve.
The vanilla tasted the best out of the two because the matcha was too sweet.

Also had the tempura seaweed and tempura egg, however they use the seasoned egg over here which is rather salty.
The tempura seaweed was ok but it was chewy.

Museum of London Docklands

Enjoyed a visit to Museum of London Docklands Thanks to my friend who wanted to go otherwise I doubt I would have visited.
Personally I liked the 1940s stuff and the treadwheel for lifting heavy items.

Central Cafe, Stratford shopping Centre InShops

Central Cafe is another place for proper English food!
Located at the Market Village in Stratford Shopping Centre.
I was really impressed because they serve pie mash from my favourite Maureen's who are the best purveyors of Pie Mash according to the Pie Mash Liquor group.
I dined there for spaghetti bolognese with freshly grated cheese.
Just like the menu said, it was served with freshly grated cheese!!
Cheddar cheese definitely wins over parmesan and tasteless mozzarella!
I had so much cheese left that I ordered some extra chips to make cheesy chips and they didn't charge me for the chips 🙂
They are a friendly cafe with a good bond with the guys at the famous chips and curry sauce joint nearby.

Gentrification again.
Another huge shop in another mall turned into a mini mall with smaller shops.
Its happening everywhere.
