Mushroom burger and Winger Winger Chicken at Patty & Bun

Went to Patty & Bun as it was one of the restaurants not tried on that stretch.

Tried the Winger Winger Chicken Dinner & Portobello ‘Dig it’ Mushroom Burger where the burger was similar to Shake shack but I loved the tarragon sauce in it which you can really taste.

The chicken wing confit was just chicken wings covered in buffalo sauce.

The wings were a bit stiff and not on the moist side to drip with chicken juice but I believe they are a side product as burgers are the main star of the show.

Chicken tenders at Slims chicken

I have always wanted to try Slims chicken because it is Southern food.
Overall, it is quite impressive because the menu does not deviate much from the US.

The only items not available here are the fried okra and mushrooms whereas UK as gravy mayo and they don't.

It is interesting, they serve toast but I wish they had grilled cheese as well.

Anyway, tried the chicken tenders which were good visually from the coating as it was even as well as the colour after it had been fried.

The chicken was soft and moist and went well with the blue cheese dip that I chose.

Also had the toast because I didn't understand why Americans would have toast on the menu.

The toast is very different in the sense that it is sweet and a bit like garlic bread with herbs.

The mac and cheese was quite cheesy and creamy.

Also tried the gravy mayo exclusive to UK which was had a twang to it like salad cream and it was not as savoury as I had hoped.

Rooster Chicken & Fish Purley [Review]

I love fried chicken shops so whenever there is one I have not been to, I will definitely try their fried chicken.

Who knew that Rooster Chicken & Fish would be serving seriously good Fish and Chips which beats this other fish and chip shop nearby and even my locals.

On my first few visits, I only had fried chicken but one day I decided to be brave and try the fish and chips which turned out to be amazing.

As well as my favourite place, this is another place I go regularly because it is easy to travel to.

I was gobsmacked they serve real chippy chips along with their normal chips for the chicken.

The chips are soft and fluffy in the middle and the fish comes with skin.

You won't feel bloated after having it and  the prices are so affordable.

Asteroid City diner pop up

Although I have not watched Asteroid City, as a foodie I had to go to the Asteroid City diner pop up which has a 1950s theme serving diner style food.

I didn't know you could just go to the diner without going to the exhibition so I ended up going to the exhibition as well.

The menu is limited and not what is offered on the board but they do have milkshakes, hot dogs etc.

Ordered the pancakes with bacon, hot dog, jello, tomato juice and gooseberry milkshake.

I was actually looking forward to the gooseberry milkshake which is unusual and it made me wonder if it was even American.

Overall, I enjoyed the jello and gooseberry swirl milkshake.

The jello is just jelly topped with whipped coconut cream where you can really taste the coconut in the cream.

I have a feeling it was made with Hartley's jelly!

As for the milkshake, it was different and the tartness of the gooseberry went well with the vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry Yakult tea at Boba Tea London

Visited Boba Tea London.
I like the way you can DIY your teas.

It was like Bubble tea deconstructed where you can customize what you want but unfortunately the proportions are fixed.
Anyway, it is a good experience that you can choose what you want.
Ended up trying the strawberry yakult which was not that nice, at 20% sweetness it was still too sweet and syrupy.

Barbie doughnut from treats club

Stumbled upon this doughnut joint in Shoreditch so gave their Barbie doughnut a try.

The Pink Barbie doughnut from treats club is filled with homemade boys tears fluff + cheesecake topped with strawberry custard + fruity pebbles cereal.

It was not a bad fluffy and soft doughnut without being overall sweet however I couldn't quite taste the marshmallow and the centre was a bit bitter.

Would love to try their hot glazed doughnuts and the doissant!
