Chips from Ocean Fish Bar near Stepney Green

Went here randomly as it was near my uni.
The smell in the shop was nice so decided to try their chips.
However the chips didn't look nice because they were brown but they were actually good as in not greasy.
It was nice how they also had an extra sheet of real newspaper as well to give it that chippy touch.

Mac and Cheese from The Pear Tree, Purley

Finally gave this pub a visit since I have not been there so ordered the macaroni and cheese.
There are toppings you can choose but I decided to just have it plain.
Although it was a bit pricey, the taste was amazing as the cheese gooey and tasty.
It was quite salty as well but in a delicious way and the texture of the macaroni was to my liking as it was not too soft with a nice firmness.

Argentinian empanadas from Chango

This morning, I spotted this Argentinian stall selling empanadas.
They had traditional ones like beef as well as ones suited to the English palate.
I decided to try the cheese and ham because it was made with cheddar and I was not disappointed because the filling was lush.
The pastry is soft yet crisp and flaky filled which you can imagine like a soft flaky Carr's water biscuit in a nice way.
I got them at the right time as they just started for the day hence they were fresh and hot.

Bow Dip burger from Bun and Sum

I have always wanted to try this burger place because of the bow dip burger which comes with a pot of beef juice for dipping.
Buns & Some is a delivery kitchen that turned popular hence people are coming here for takeaways.
Located underneath railway arches, there is no where to sit unless it is a media visit with the usual arrangements.
Overall, the burger was soft and reminded me of shake shack with extra brisket slices.
The beef juice which I was looking forward to was a bit salty so couldn't finish it.
Overall I was glad I tried, it is interesting how East London is changing as well as rail arches with more kitchens moving in amongst those car garage places.

Greek frappe from Pitta Santorini in Barking

Whenever you go into Greek restaurants you will also see Greek Frappe which got me curious so finally tried it from Pitta Santorini in Barking.
It is definitely different from the usual ice blended frappes it has this lovely light foamy layer on top which reminds me of Dalgona coffee.

Staying at London's first underground hotel Zedwell (Hotel review)

I love staying at special places and Zedwell near Tottenham Court Road is one of them that you will remember.
What makes it special is that the rooms are all underground because it was a former car park.
Rooms go as deep as 5 levels down with no windows obviously.
Themed as cocoons I was expecting it to be like a capsule but it is just a basic room with no windows but it does have ensuite shower, sink and toilet.
In terms of location, it is adjacent to Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road TFL and underground station which is super handy.
The room does not contain a kettle or hairdryer but you can get hot and cold water at reception which also had communal tables and sofas.
Floors are tiled so it can get quite cold in the winter.
Being underground, you have to rely on wifi which they have and it connects with an email address.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here as I felt really safe from the outside world without the windows.
You get to experience literally pitch dark environment once the lights in the room are switched off as you will not get any light coming in from the sides of the door even between the carpet and the door.
It was relatively quiet compared to some other hotels but you will hear toilets flushing and the occasional train passing beneath you.
