Small Breakfast at Wetherspoons

Small breakfast for £2.25 at Wetherspoons.
The last time I had a breakfast like this under £2.00 was at ikea but wetherspoons is better.
I got the small and they let me change the hash brown for black pudding for free.
It wasn't bad except for the sausage texture which was waxy like those vegan sausages and the egg could have done without a crater in the yolk.
The black pudding was really crispy and airy like those popped cheese snacks.
I really wanted the eggs Benedict too but they were not available.

Asian food at dim t

Another place that serves Asian inspired food that has been here for decades with a branch in Winchester.
The decor was interesting because it looks like a Japanese restaurant but then you have Thai stuff like statues and Chinese stuff like mugs.
I wouldn't say the food was nice especially the plain noodles which were really oily and you could taste the metal pan.

The McRib is back in the UK

Smoky and delicious topped with onions and gherkins in a maize dusted bun.
However the patty was strangely soft and squidgy compared to the last time I had it.
Definitely not nice as it used to be, the Rustlers version is nicer while some people say the iceland version is good too.
This is the first day it was launched so maybe teething stages in serving it.

NANDOS X Fanta ZERO spiced chicken

NEW at Nandos from October 15th!!
Fanta wings and cheesy garlic pitta.
Finally the fanta glazed wings can now contend with cola wings which are popular in the East.
There were also new chicken skewers so I had it with FANTA ZERO sugar sauce.
Trying the fanta sauce alone, you can taste the sweet orange flavour similar to that of the lemon sauce at Chinese shops where they add orange juice but the spices in this are intense.

Malted softserve at Crème soho

Creme, a cookie specialist in London.
Cookies take a while so had the malted ice cream and cookie crumble.
Tbh, I define that as softserve.
It had a very strong malty taste like ovaltine and horlicks.
I wasn't a fan of the cookie crumbs though.

Empanada galore at Empanada Circle

There are many places for empanadas in London and they come in many different shapes like pasta and dim sum.
An empanada is a fried/baked turnover with fillings.
As you can imagine in this modern day and age, there are more fillings and varieties than ever to cater for different tastes.
Tried the cheese and ham and the Argentian sausage.
I got the ham and cheese because it was shaped like a tortellini and dumpling.
Fillings were a bit salty and the Argentian sausage was rather meaty.
The pastry was a bit dry and chewy compared to this other Empanada place I tried and not fond of the mozzarella cheese they use as I prefer cheddar.

Cheese fondue at St Moritz, SOHO London

There are not many places for authentic cheese fondue in London so St Moritz is the place to go and it dates back to 1974!!
You might even see the owner there if you are lucky.
I can confirm it was even better than the one I had in Switzerland.
The cheese is cheesy but not heavy and the texture is like a thick puree/sauce that isn't stringy.
Tried the Fondue Forestiere and Escargots à la Mode du Patron.
The escargot sauce was really strong and herby and there is so much sauce that you can dip your bread into.
