Early Christmas pizza at Prezzo for 99p!

Even though I had some Christmas previews June, I won't resist any more.
Definitely worth the experience especially if you have never tried Prezzo before so a reason to dine there.
A lovely festive CHRISTMAS PIZZA with Turkey, brie, crispy stuffing, pigs in blankets on a rich tomato base and topped with cranberry ketchup.
The Turkey was still tender and moist coming from the fiery pizza oven.
Well done Prezzo.

Ube & Mandarin Tart at Cord by Le Cordon Bleu

Stumbled accross CORD by Le Cordon Bleu on fleet street.
I thought this was a cooking academy but it was a cafe offering pastries and food supplied by them.
My eyes locked on the ube mandarin tart so had to get it.
It was interesting they had ube as an ingredient because I thought they'd be traditional on flavours.
Anyway, it did not disappoint.
The tart base was actually edible unlike other places where they use frozen ones that taste off and the butter has gone rancid to state that you can smell.
The mandarin was amazing, citrus and sharp.
Definitely to my liking as it wasn't mango while the ube was strong, you could really taste that earthy sweetness in that light mousse cream.
The only thing I didn't like was the crunch in the middle.
Also naughtily got a dark chocolate pumpkin croissant to take home which has a strong cinnamon pumpkin filling.

Wendy's Baked Potatoes (Jacket Potatoes)

Seriously, the jacket potatoes are insane and the chilli and cheese will only set you back at £3.89.
Probably the cheapest loaded jacket you can get especially in London.
I got this late at night so I thought because it was the end of the day the potato was uniformly soft and fluffy.
The chilli was amazing and tasty with two types of beans kidney and pinto.
No wonder there are many recipes for Wendys chilli online.
Anyway just to confirm the baked potatoes were good, I went back in the afternoon and got a different filling.
To my delight the potato was again uniformly soft and fluffy.
It is really hard to find uniformly soft and fluffy baked potatoes these days from cafes and definitely not under a fiver for ones with filling.
Well done Wendys.

The Worlds Best Lobster Roll at Homer Lobster

Homer Lobster from Paris has popped up at Truffle Burger, South Bank until 15th June.
They claim to serve the World's Best lobster so I had to give it a try.
Overall, it delivered, fresh springy lobster with burst of lime rind here and there complimented by the chives.

The Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch returns for the 4th year!!

The Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch returns for the 4th year with more exciting flavours!
Again 15 flavours in total available from June 7 to 16 August 2025.

The flavours are: Garners pickled onion, Sriracha, Rowse honey, Ovaltine, Twiglets, McVities hobnobs, McVities Club Orange, Bisto Gravy, Copella Apple, Irn Bru, Quaker Oats, Maldon Salt, Fillippo Berio Pesto, Bird's eye custard, Romney Kendal Mint Cake.

Although there are many new flavours, I felt that many were similar to the previous ones but using a different brand, for example the Mint Cake tasted just like the Polo ice cream a few years ago.

Garners Pickled onions: quite similar to the Sarsons vinegar ice cream with an onion taste.

Sriracha chilli sauce: Not a fan of sriracha but got it because there was tomato which made it deliciously savoury and sweet albeit a bit spicy.

Twiglets: Lovely generous chunks of malty twiglets but the marmite taste wasn't strong.
I felt that a striking touch of saltiness would be nice.

Bistro gravy: Again similar to the kikkomans soy sauce ice cream.
Sweet and Savoury but the salty kick isn't that strong as soy sauce.

Coppella Apple: refreshing apple sorbet that was not too sweet.

Quaker Oats: Similar to the Ambrosia rice pudding ice cream but with chewy oats in it.
Rather sweet.

Romney's Kendal Mint Cake.

Crepes at La Petite Bretagne

La Petite Bretagne, a lovely creperie serving proper Brittany style buckwheat crepes with apple cider.
The Campagnarde was really tasty however the frangipane wasn't to die for like the menu said but still nice.
I thought the almond cream was going to be lighter.
It interesting how they have interlocked the cutlery in the tin.
