V8 Fish burger

As well as baked rice, they also do other snacks, so this time tried the Fish burger.

Fish burger:
Not my cup of tea this time because the burger bun they used was a long shaped one and it was sweet!!
It was really horrible eating a sweet bun with a piece of fish cutlet in the middle.
The oily was not that fresh so the fish tasted of rancid oil that I had no appetite to eat anything else afterwards.

24hr McDonald's and a double decker Filet o Fish

Although this branch is crap in the daytime, it is open for 24 hours and after 9pm, the menu is slighty different.

After 9pm they have the double decker fish burger so I ordered that.

It was really good because there were two fish filets which made it wholesome.
Next time I order, I am going to request for more sauce because there was not enough sauce in proportion to the fish so it was quite dry.
I wish they had two slices of cheese as well to give it some extra saltiness and taste cheesier.

Fish burger @ Ma Sa Restaurant

I rarely bother ordering Chinese style burgers in Hong Kong because you just know its going to taste horrible because of the sweet buns and sauce, but from PangPangSang's review it seemed worth a try, so I went there again and ordered it and the Tofu with roast pork belly.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tofu with roast pork belly: When I ordered I did not realised you could choose from normal tofu or the dried ones, so I ended up with the dried ones but if I had known I would have orderd the normal tofu which would be more filling and nicer.
The roast pork belly was good as well, it had crispy skin.
Overall the BBQ roast pork and roast pork belly is really good and I wonder if they roast them in house or get them from a local roast shop.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fish Burger: I was really impressed with this fish burger, firstly the bun was not those standard ones used in Chinese restaurants and the sauce was really nice.
The bun's shape was similar to a brioche bun.
The fish filet had been fried just right and it was golden brown with tender white fish inside.
The lettuce as you can see was finely shredded.
I was also impressed that they gave me a knife and fork to eat the fish burger.

Wasabi fish burger @ McDonalds

I tried the double decker wasabi fish burger, wasnt as nice as the one from Freshness burger, probably cos Mcdonald's fish tastes bland.

The lettuce pieces didnt really match the burger, same with the bun, because the original filet o fish is just fish, cheese, sauce and a soft bun.
It also made eating it very messy.

If u really wanna try, the single decker should be sufficient, as there is more cheese in proportion to the fish, giving it taste.

Fish burger @ Triple O's

Came here to try their new fish burger, initially I did'nt want to try it, because on the picture the batter looks rather thick.

Initially thought it was slightly over priced for $42 for a single burger, however comparing it to the others at Triple O's, they all cost around $4x for just a burger alone.

The burger was presented as shown, with a lemon wedge on top.
I wasnt impressed unwrapping it, there was tartar sauce on the wrapping so I got tartar sauce all over my fingers.

The burger looked rather big and daunting, anyway, I squeezed the lemon onto the fish.
Then started eating it, tasted really nice, surrounded with tartar sauce, the batter was slightly overcooked, and the edges were rather too hard. Luckily not too greasy and sickening.

Chunky juicy firm Cod fish, and didnt taste like frozen stuff.

Double decker fish filet burger @ McDonalds

As with all McDonald meals, it all tastes good, however being a double decker, it should of had more tartar sauce.

Sakana supreme (Fish burger) @ McDonalds

I have always liked the fish burger, so I tried the new Sakana supreme.

The fish filet is about 1.5 times bigger than the filet o fish sandwiched in a maize bun.

The taste of the new burger tasted exactly the same as McDonalds chicken burger, because the sauce strikingly tastes the same except there are lots of sesame seeds in the sauce.

As well as that, they have put cheese in it as well.

I think if it was chicken it would taste much nicer, because the fish filet was slightly tasteless.

I also had the salted grilled chicken wings, however the grilled BBQ ones tasted better.
The taste of the chicken wings was very chinese style.
Maybe they should have grilled curry wings next!!!
