Marugame Udon to open in London on 26h July

Marugame Udon also known as Marugame Seimen, a famous restaurant in Asia is to open their first branch in London, Liverpool Street!
I spotted the shop while I was in London!

Having tried them in Asia, I simply can't wait.
In the meantime here are highlights of the items I had in Asia!
The tempura egg is a must with egg yolk oozing out of it.
First you choose an udon where you get to choose optional tempura from the tempura bar and then you get to customize it toppings at the toppings station.

Udon bowls start from £3.45

Philippe Conticini pastries at Buck Street Market Camden

While I was in Camden, I spotted Philippe Conticini pastries at Buck Street Market.

It is hard to miss with that girly pink theme and the pink twist softserve at the entrance.

Inside, there are some beautifully filled croissants to choose from.

Thunderbird Fried Chicken

Another Pasta bar to try: PaStation

PaStation,  another pasta bar where you can customize your choice of pasta,  toppings and sauce.

Lunch at English & Continental Bar

I have always wanted to try this place but never checked it out, gut instinct knew this place was going to be good because the location is practically a dead spot yet people still dine here which is an indicator that it is worth trying otherwise people would not be coming.
The food did not let me down!
They did not have breakfast so I had sausage, egg, beans and chips.
The chips looked overdone as they were a bit dark but every chip was good and the egg was just right with a runny yolk.
The sausage was the usual with some gristle and the beans I believe were St Nicholas as they were not too sweet and the beans are distinctively smaller in size.

Classic Egyptian Koshary at Koshary Kitchen

I was drawn to Koshary Kitchen because I have only had one Egyptian meal so far and the food served at Koshary Kitchen was really different from that.
At Koshary Kitchen, they serve modern Koshary where you can mix and add things.
You can build and customize your bowls or choose the Signature bowls.
As I have not tried Koshary before, I decided to go for the Classic Koshary which is a national and popular street food in Egypt.
Interestingly, this dish combines Italian, Indian and Middle Eastern ingredients where you have mixed rice, macaroni and lentils topped with tomato sauce, garlic vinegar and fried onions.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but as a carbs lover, I liked all these elements and it was simply delicious.
The rice was really aromatic because it has been mixed with onion oil that was used to deep fry the crispy onions and the spicy tomato sauce and herbs including dill made it really appetizing.
It was really good that the garlic vinaigrette came in a tub so I could taste it with and without as well as adding it accordingly.
The crispy fried onions on top was the star of the show because it gave it an overall delicious crunch whilst having this perfect sweet fried onion taste.
You could taste the onions were freshly fried and just right as they were not bitter.
Overall, I am so glad I tried this dish.

Raspberry & White Chocolate Chouxnut from Caffe Nero

Caffe Nero is not my usual place to go because I don't really see them around.
I only paid them a visit because of the new Raspberry & White Chocolate Chouxnut.
Went there and saw two of them in the cabinet but as I was full I decided to get them the next day.

It was fate that the one I wanted was mine as it was the last one left as it was the same exact one I took a photo of the other day meaning it is a day old so I expected the chouxnut to be softer today but I was full yesterday or I would have dined there.
The raspberry chouxnut was delicious as expected.
Imagine it like a raspberry cream eclair presented in a ring form.
Overall not too sweet with lovely icing, tart freeze dried raspberries and fluffy cream.
Hopefully M&S will bring back the rhubarb custard chouxnut from 2019.
