2011 Halloween limited edition Sausage nacho burger

Luckily I walked past during Halloween because they had the special edition Nacho burger for $9.9 including a soft drink.
I was going to try the new Nacho burger series anyway because of the Jalapeno sauce.
The Nacho burger series features chicken or beef but for Halloween it was sausage patty instead.
The only difference is that the Halloween version does not contain sliced tomatoes.

I felt that the sausage version was the best combination because there was herbs and spices in the patty.

The sausage patty was moist, softer and not as oily as McD’s.
It reminded me of sandwiches with crisps inside.
The nacho burger is similar to the crispy onion burger BK served a while ago but the Nacho had more crunch and texture to the burger.

However the Jalapeno sauce was slightly disappointing because it was not tangy or spicy, it just tasted like BBQ sauce

The drink that came with it was flat as usual.

Foilicious juicy chicken and herbs that leaves you thirsty @ KFC

I got the new Foilicious chicken which is chicken marinated with herbs, wrapped in foil and baked.
There is two pieces of chicken per portion which is fixed.
Anyway I got one to try and the foil pack was placed neatly in a plastic box with lid.
When I peeled the foil, I could smell the herbs and its appearance reminded me of roast chicken.
The herbs smelt like rosemary.
It would be good if they served roasted potatoes too.
A real roast dinner.
Not sure if I was lucky today, but the chicken was really soft and juicy.
But I will try it again in future to see if the juicyness is consistent.
As with all KFC, it is loaded with MSG which is guaranteed to leave you feeling thirsty.

Foilicious chicken Pt 2: Juicy garlic butter @ KFC

Tried the baked garlic butter Foilicious chicken, which was guaranteed to be juicy.
Previously tried the herb flavour in this series and in comparison, the garlic butter version tastes better.
The MSG was not so strong and the butter strength was just right.
However it is slightly oilier than the Herb version.
The Chicken was slightly over grilled and darker than the herb version, there was crushed garlic on top of the chicken.

In general I really liked it and hope there will be another interesting flavour coming soon for the next foilicious series such a Lemon or maybe curry spices.

2011 Christmas series part 1 at Starbucks

Glad it is Christmas again, especially for food there is lots more variety and new items.
To start off this year, I tried Starbucks Christmas Black Forest cake.
Next I am going to try the cranberry and blueberry Danish and the savoury wraps if they are not sold out yet.

I was attracted to the cake because of the whiteness of the cream and the cake was made up of other pieces of cake shaped together like the Battenberg or a brick wall but not as regular as the squares in that cake.
It tasted really nice, because the cake was made up of cake, mousse, cream, and pieces of jelly, which can be seen on the side.
But it was visually not as good as their product shot which attracted me in the first place.

There was only one piece of jelly, I would have preferred more.
I could taste some slight alcohol in the chocolate mousse.
It tasted mainly of chocolate and no taste of cherry whatsoever.

La Rose Noire Bakery

I love the sandwiches here, they are made fresh and warmed for you.
Chicken Tikka is the best, a good old English favourite.

For bread there is a choice of white or brown.

Incy Wincy spider crawling on my McRibs!!

Finally the last McRib burger in the series is out!
Out of the three: Shogan, McPepper and the McRib, the McRib has to be my favourite, because I like the combination of the maize bun, pork patty, thick BBQ sauce and onions.
A spider/crab?
A spider/crab?

Anyway, when I took the picture, I found the onions and guerkins were arranged in a cute way, it looked like a crab/spider.
I didnt think it was deliberate by McD's.
The onions were not diced or cut into smaller pieces, it was convenient to eat without pieces of onion falling out.
I picked out the guerkins.
Overall the BBQ sauce was lovely and thick and the pork patty was nice and soft complement by the yummy crunchy onions.
