Vroom Vroom with Fiat food !! @ Fiat Caffè

There are not many car themed restaurants in Hong Kong, although they are getting increasingly popular.
Not long after this was opened there is now one in Central which features Mini's called Mini dans la Ville.

Anyway checked this place out with IVYCWK.

When we got there it was already full and lots of people were waiting for tables.
In the Cafe, there were many Fiat related items for sale such as gear stick nobs and other mechanical bits.

The only disappointment was that there was only one table near the entrance which was actually a partial car, the rest were normal tables and chairs.

I just felt that for a car themed restaurant, there should be more of these car themed tables.

Finally sat down and ordered a panini and a Sardines bruschetta.
The table for two was so small that the two basic items we ordered and drinks could not be all placed on the table.
Luckily the waitors were extremely attentative and helpful, they helped us put the food on smaller plates to fit on the table.

I really liked the panini, especially the cheese which was white, and the egg inside the panini was not overdone.
The anchovies were there to give it some flavour.

We ordered this because the presentation was fun!
Usually the fish comes from the tin and here they have put the sauces in the tin and the sardines intact on top of the bruschetta.
The Sardines tastes like the usual sardines but without the tomato sauce and it was slightly drenched in olive oil.
It was fun with the sauce in the tin.
The dill caper mayonnaise was my favourite, it was evidently creamy and there were lots of dill in the sauce which can be visually seen.
The tomato sauce tasted like pizza sauce but it was sligthly too sweet for my liking.

The tea itself was exquisite, especially the packaging.
However it could have been served better because the tea and water was served separately so by the time you put the teabag in the glass the water is not hot enough.
Secondly the tea should be served in a tea cup or a tea pot because the amount of water that was in the tall glass is nearly twice as much as a tea cup which will make the tea bland.
Thirdly this tea bag is different to other teabags because there is a hook at the top and keeps the tea bag afloat and given the tall glass, the tea bag could not diffuse properly with the water. ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ
Cute Salt and Pepper grinders As well as the exquisite tea, I found these grinders quite cute by Drogheria & Alimentari

Seafood pot @ Masamura Sushi Restaurant

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Carpaccio sushi salmon and tuna
This was bascially the usual sushi topped with sliced onions, a slice of lemon and some Italian dressing.
Overall they tasted quite pleasant and it was just like carpaccio with rice. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Steamed egg with urchin
This tasted too salty. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Seafood hotpot with crab
There was not enough soup to cover the contents when it came, so asked for more broth so that the contents could be ensured that they got cooked.
The crab did not taste that fresh and it came straight from the Freezer because there was ice particles on it.
The cutlery for the crab had to be requested. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Spaghetti with ox tripe @ Maxim's & You

ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ
Stir fried spaghetti with ox tripe in tomato and herb sauce
On their menu it actually saids FRIED spaghetti but I think they mean stir-fied because the spaghetti was not crunchy.
I was surprised ox tripe was used because you would not normally find it with pasta in Western eateries serving pasta.
It is usually chicken or seafood that is served with pasta. ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ
Fried chicken with spaghetti in curry sauce:
The pasta was al-dente and the curry sauce was slightly too spicy and salty.
The chicken was coated in a light corn starch batter. however it was overdone. ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ

Flip flop egg tarts @ V8

Tried the egg tarts at 3.5 dollars each.

Not worth the price, as you end up eating 60% of the tart.

Where did the rest go?

The flimsy, floppy tart is not rigid at all, so floppy that its pastry sticks to the foil tin

Pandan leaves tea @ HUSK

Nicely decorated restaurant, set out like an overseas thai place.
Dimmed lighting with spacious food court seating.

Ordered some satays, salad rice, and cant remember, but in general, everything was well balanced and light.

The best thing I liked was Pandan leaves tea, and pandan drink, both delicately flavoured, with natural leaves.
The tea tasted like light chinese tea, but with the scent of Pandan leaves.
The iced pandan drink had a stronger pandan taste which was sweetened too.

Lunch @ Xperience

Ordered a set-lunch and a Main dish.
The set-lunch ordered was the two-course lunch with pizza, there is a pizza selection that can be selected from the main menu. So ordered the Italian ham and tomato.
Also ordered a non-set dish: Wanchai bangers (English pork sausage, mash and cranberry sauce).

After waiting for 20 minutes, the salad came, a very basic medley of vegetables and vinaigrette dressing. Then came the drinks.

Then after 10 minutes, the food finally came, the pizza was huge, enough for two people, and personally I think it would be boring to eat for one person.
The Wanchai bangers was impressive, three pork sausages and some veg served on a bed of mashed potato. The best mash I have had so far, it contained mustard seeds in it. The cranberry sauce complimented the rest well too.
As for the pizza, it was a nice thin base, topped with thinly sliced Italian ham and tomato.

We were too full to order the ice cream, which would have made it 3-course, however we saw another table having the ice cream, a big glass with scoops of ice cream, presented nicely too.

Blueberry smoothie and spanish twirls @ Juice bar

Originally wanted to order the strawberry smoothie, but since it was sold out, I tried the blueberry one given by the staff. I found it very syrupy so I ordered one without any sugar at all. But for $20 it can be an option as a thirst quencher.

The smoothie is rather thin in consistency compared with the normal ones. Not as thick as it should be. Without the sugar, the yoghurt can be tasted. The colour of the smoothie was quite purple as real blueberries were put in, however they are frozen ones.

I was also given a box of spanish twirls (churros sprinkled with icing sugar. I didnt like it very much, but then i didnt like it when i was given some to try along while ago.
Firstly it was too sweet, and secondly, u can taste that the oil hasnt been changed and they were so rancid..
