Door Door (Mei Foo)
As mentioned in my previous review, the nougats here are really good and the packaging and design really takes it to another level.
They have fans from Thailand who go there especially for the nougats.
I regretted that I didn't buy any on my last vist, but thanks to Garycwm for getting me these nougats.

Black sesame nougats:
I loved the packaging and fonts, especially the foil wrapper.
The bag was resealable.
There was crisp rice paper to keep it from sticking to the wrapper.
The taste of these nougats were delicious, you can see black sesame seeds in it and there was a layer of chocolate in the middle sandwiched between the delicious nougat that was not too sweet.

La Festival de La Lune
Paul Lafayet (Tsim Sha Tsui)
Thanks to Paul Lafayet for these moon festival macarons.
They are in a box of eight with a large macaron in the middle dusted with shimmering powder representing the moon surrounded by 7 stars in an auspicious arrangement.
The large macaron is Mango Passion Fruit flavored.
For the seven macarons I chose: raspberry, matcha, pistachio, caramel, yuzy, baileys, and earl grey.
As I have visited the causeway bay branch, I decided to go to the K11 branch and discovered there is a small sitting area inside which is convenient for people wanting a quick dessert.
Next time when I am bored, I will go there for a quick dessert.
They had new cakes too:
The Bailey's dome was really cute because there was a mini macaron on the top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
La Festival de La Lune:
It was fun sinking my teeth in the huge macaron which was the size of a medium sized burger
The flavours that I chose with a brief comment on taste:
matcha (creamy and not that sweet), pistachio (nutty with coconutty taste), caramel (bitter
tones to it), yuzu (quite refreshing), baileys (fairly strong baileys taste), earl grey (very fragrant) and raspberry (faint raspberry taste)

Delicious chicken pies from Kam Fung
Kam Fung Restaurant (Wan Chai)
Thanks to a friend for getting me this chicken pie from Kam Fung because I doubt I would ever get a pie from there even though I like them.
The last time I had it was from the Whatever Man!
This time it was neatly sliced in half and there were pieces of ham in it too which gave it a flavourful taste, it was sweet too because of the sweet buttery pastry.
Overall the taste was pleasant but I still prefer the chicken pie at North point.

Chinese donut
Tai Cheong Bakery Express (Wan Chai)
Thanks to a friend for getting me this.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Chinese donut:
This time I had a whole one and my comments are slightly different to the last time I tried it.
It did not have that nasty frying oil smell and the taste was very egg and moist.
I was surprised to see that it was very airy inside not like the western donuts.
The donut exterior was like a huge choux bun, but the inside was incredible soft and extremely moist!
At first I thought the dampness of the dough was the frying oil, but it was not.
The donut looks big but when you bite into it, it is actually like a sponge and compresses. The donut exterior was chewier than the western type.
Overall I still prefer the western donut, but the inside of the Chinese donut is nice in the sense that it is moist and similar to fresh airy bread.
It is really similar to a sugar coated soggy American popover.

KFC gets Bing'd
There is a new Mr.Bing shop in Wan Chai right next to the Legendary sugar cane drink shop from Central.
Old Hong Kong drinks meets the new trendy Beijing Crepes.
Anyway, it is quite cute that you can see KFC's reflection on Mr.Bings menu.
When your upstairs at KFC, you can also see Mr.Bing.
Anyway, it was cute because KFC got Bing'd because people were eating Mr.Bing crepes there!
Great idea....I might trying BINGING in KFC next time.

Sweet potato gelato @ Bei Coffee
Bei Coffee (Sai Kung)
Saw the latest review featuring gelato so I went there for gelato as well.
There is Sakura or sweet potato so I got the sweet potato.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sweet potato gelato:
The sweet potato gelato was quite sweet and smooth, it had pieces of coarse grounded sweet potato in it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Since my last visit, they have introduced a new menu with so many teas with enticing names such as Secret, Dr Livingstone, 1001 nights, Sunny Sen etc.
I really liked their special edition blend which has red sugar hearts served on special occasions.
While I was there, I also tried their Christmas blend which was refreshingly tart.
It came with vegetable honey which does not alter the taste of the tea.

Home Made Pink Beetroot pasta
Le Bonbon de Paris (Sai Kung)
Went into Sai Kung deliberately to try the Beetroot pasta.
As always, this place is always full of people even at 8pm (which is late by Sai Kung standards!!!)
Since my last visit, there are now so many new items on the menu.
They had my favourite gnocchi.
At the front, there are so many new desserts, they had croissants, chocolate and dark chocolate cakes filled with soft chocolate.
I ended up choosing the peas with pasta, there are three home made pastas to choose from: tomato, spinach or beetroot.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
peas with beetroot pasta:
The normal version has chicken, but I did not feel like having meat that day.
The pasta was really nice and the sauce was lovely and creamy balanced by the strong herbs and sweet fresh peas on top.
There was some garlic salt on the table too which enhanced the taste even more.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Thanks to Le Bonbon de Paris for sponsoring me the delicious pasta.
Merci Beaucoup!
